Differences are no doubt present
when a group has various diligent and passionate workers collaborating with
each other. Sometimes, the roles are not suited to members and the other times,
group members are not fit for the goal. When such a conflict arises, it is the
leader’s job to ensure that conflicts are mitigated and goals are pursued in a
single agile direction.
Conflict sometimes arises when
there are three or four strong positions in a single group. When the
perspectives of members are not paid any attention to then conflict over
opinion or position arises. For instance; If only one person is deciding along
with the leader, it will not settle down with other members. For instance: If
some members are communicating while others are not getting the ideas and
concepts, it might lead to inefficient outcome. Therefore, the leader will have
to consult such shy members as well.
Example 1: Group A has five members and only one seems to work with
efficiency as the leader requires. Meanwhile, the other four members seem to
avoid the first member. Due to it, communication is strained.
Solution: The leader must consult the other members and make sure
that their thoughts are properly paid attention to. It will repair the
communication among team members.
Example 2: Group B has five members and three members constantly
are making mistakes and unable to produce the required outcome. They are not
taking assistance from other members as well. Overall, the team is falling.
Solution: Again, the leader will have to use leadership skills and
make sure that the team walks together without differences. Ideas should be
communicated and a single direction should be discovered.
