Best contract management will
result in having a good business planning as it is technical subject matter in
which different disciplines are involved such as procurement, technical
business planning etc. likewise CMP is of utmost most importance when we talk
about the best implementation of program where there are incentives based on
performance, management of risk and quality assurance. As planning that is done in good manner leads
to best communications, better definition of role, clear set of work frame and
what should one expect will further lead to success. Whole Contract Management
Team (CMT) actions and after the contract is given further the team responsible
for the management of performance so that objectives and goals defined by the
government are achieved. (Çelebi, Bayraktar and Bingöl
2010).
Contracting Manager, officials
responsible for finance, program managers or project managers, directors
responsible for security and federal safeguards should be part of the CMT. Persons
who are responsible for taking care of the contractors should be trained well
in such a way that they should be well aware of the company standards and
polices for excellent results. To ensure that CMP is fully executed as the per
the standards and objective Contracting officers should work in liaison with
the DOE to not only in making the strategies to effectively manage the contract
but further for the effective management of contract. It becomes the core
responsibility of the CMP to give a proper frame work with accreditation of
various government officials and contractors right from the beginning of the
contract till end. (Oluka and Basheka 2014).
