For this reason, the men society
uses their right that rights what the society gave them. Many men in the world
abuse their women because of jealousy issues. Means to say that their men are
jealous of their women because they are rich and on the basis of their status
their men physically abuse her. The jealousy may be of another type when their
women are more beautiful than their men. In many parts of the world men try to
physically abuse their women as they hold more physical power than them. Men
know that their women can’t able to do anything so in the pride they used to
physically abuse them. Generally, most of the relationships start out good and
they remain consistent but due to some elements, they are strained at some
point. Sometimes, it is the responsibility and sometimes it is the work stress
that plays an important role in the rising aggressiveness within a relationship
(Mai, Paulin and Pun 2016).
Furthermore, disputes on a
certain topic build as time passes and they grow so much that a relation cannot
be tolerated. This generally becomes the reason of heated fights between males
and women in a relationship. The verbal power is lacked by men compared to
their partners while they hold more physical power. When they cannot fight back
verbally, they tend to use their physical power. Women participants in an
intimate relationship lack the physical power and that is why subordination
from the side of females is common. It gives a push to the faith of males being
stronger and holding more authority makes them exercise their power on females
in an intimate relationship (Dutton 2011).
Relationship between gender and violence
The violence is directly
proportional to the male dominancy over the women. As the male are more
dominant over the women so this violence increased with great margin. According
to the survey it can be seen that in the marital relationship the male power is
extremely dominant in most parts of the word. From the past it can be analyzed
that the children from the very start are often taught that girls are more
timid and if they are not careful they can hurt girls. This creates a basis perception
of male dominance.
Even in the present in many
societies, male children are indirectly told that they are stronger. For
instance, boys are often told that girls cry easily which makes them timid.
Although the statement relays that females from the start are very delicate but
it also points out that they are weaker. A patriarchal society is the main
player which harnesses such a perception. Males from a young age are made the
leaders while females are left behind. It is true that such acts are quite
smaller but they gradually create a psychology that males in an intimate
relation can exercise violence as well. From a side note, gender inequality
plays an important role in violence subjected by a male participant (Leonard 2012).
