Who is the victim?

        According to the research and different surveys it has been analyzed that the women are the main cause of victim of physical and domestic violence. The main reason of their victim is the male dominancy in the society. Through various surveys and studies, it has been evaluated that in most of the cases, females were the victims. Although it was clarified that mostly females were found to be the victims of intimate relationship violence but it raised a question. Why the large portion of victims consist of females? (Baines, Barak-Erez and Kahana 2012)

        It is not that only females have been subjected through violence. In many cases, males were the ones to be subjected through various forms of violence. However, the large amount of victims compromised of females in an intimate relationship. It is the basic belief of power being held by men which makes them use their physical power instead of sorting the matter. The concepts of males being dominant in a relationship then again rise from the patriarch society or system (Scmp 2016).
