The
human resource management is certainly linked with hiring & recruiting
people, and then managing them for an organization, but this is the simplest of
activities performed by HR department. The HR department has to look at human
resource management process beyond just hiring and managing employees, and make
it a strategic tool to align with strategic business goals, so that an organization
can achieve what it wants to achieve though its people. It is important to
understand that just hiring people is not going to do anything big for an organization;
rather it is crucial for HR to understand that they have to come up with a
strategy, which is looking for high level of performance. So it is critical to
link human resources with strategic goals of an organization so that overall
performance of the business can be improved, and system can go in the right
direction. The human resource department has to come up with strategies which
nurtures a great workplace environment so that an organization can achieve
success with great level of competitive advantages (Bagga and Srivastava, 2014)
