Any organization whenever underwent a change in the administration, will have to face the after effects of the change.  These changes may be positive or negative depending upon the skills and approach of the new management. If new management have good skills and adopt right approach then the company will surely make progress in the market. But if the management will not have the right approach and skills then company will definitely face the loss. Every new administration will have its own method of dealing in the market. Definitely every takes the new decisions which are right according to its state of mind. No one wants to face the loss in the business. But whenever we want to implement any change we have to implement it at all levels and should include every single individual in the change for the progress of the company. The above mention company has undergone different management and administrative changes previously and has to deal with different issues regarding these changes. To bring any kind of change in any organization, the first step is the interest shown by administration in the change which they want to implement in the organization. To bring any change in the organization, all the members of this organization must need to understand the purpose behind this change and directions to achieve the goals behind this change. Regarding HR problems the intercontinental hotel need some changes in organizational management.

In the case of intercontinental hotel the biggest issue was that the name of the organization was among the top most hotels in their part of the world and the hotel has to maintain the good reputation and good will in the market. It can only be happen by maintaining the taste and quality of the food as well as exceptional services in all the branches around the globe. It is a very difficult task and a big challenge for the owners of the organization. It was almost impossible to achieve all these goals with the same administrative approach and force. But if the organization wants to retain the reputation in the international and local market then they to bring some positive changes.

The first major hurdle to bring this positive change was the improper qualification of the present staff. To meet the international standards the services of the hotel should be very professionally and efficiently. For this hotel needs professionally trained and qualified staff in all departments. But unluckily there are very few training institutes in this part of the world which can give proper professional training regarding hotel services.  So, in these circumstances it was almost impossible for the hotel administration to properly train their present staff. This situation makes hotel administration to think about recruiting new and more qualified and professionally trained staff to fulfill all the requirements which are necessary for the maintenance of the reputation in the local and international market. 

It is understood that native people can understand the needs and demands of the local customers more easily and efficiently then people from other origin. But the challenge was to find highly professional and trained staff from all the areas. According to the requirements and circumstances this task seems to be almost impossible.  But being an international brand these requirements have to be fulfilled at any cost.

Another major concern for the management of the hotel was to attract the customers from all nationalities around the globe. And not only single visit but repeated visits of the customers over and over again. It is necessary to generate good revenue for the hotel.

Being an international brand the hotel needs to be very careful regarding culture of all the nations. But the hotel has the Saudi origin, so it is important to represent Saudi culture mainly with collaboration of cultural representation of other countries. In the themes of the hotel there must be a very clear and dominant representation of the Saudi culture and Saudi customs.

Naturally women are well organized and more presentable. That is why the house keeping and room services and other tasks which need more attention and presentation are normally handed over to the female members of the staff. There is always more neatness and presentation in women’s work as compared to the male workers.
