For this survey, the number of
participants was 60. Out of these 60 participants, the number of single fathers
was lowest, whereas mother with live-in partner or spouse to help was the
highest with 41.7%. Single mothers comprised of 16.7% and fathers with live-in
partner or spouse to help were 33.3%. When it was asked that how many children
they have, the answer suggested that 35% has 1 children, 33.3% has 2-3
children, whereas 31.7% has 4+ children. When the question was asked about
their jobs, the answer suggested that 41.7% were working full time locally, and
it was the top in the list. Second most frequent answer was 23.3% for stay at
home parents. 15% of the participants were working part time locally. 10% were
doing paid job from home. When it was asked that hoe often do they make
breakfast, the answer from the participants revealed that 38.3% make breakfast
daily, and 30% said that they very rarely make breakfasts. 20% participants
said that they sometimes make breakfast, whereas 11.7% said they often make breakfast.
It means that majority of
participants do make breakfast. When it was asked that what prevents you from making
breakfast, 34 participants said they make it daily. 3 participants said that
like to go out and eat breakfast, whereas 11 participants said they don’t have ingredients
in hand. When the role in all meals cooking was asked, the answer revealed that
40% said they don’t make any meals rather their other significant does make it.
Second highest answer was 35%, suggesting that they cook all meal because being
the primary cook. When question asked about food serving to kids, the parents
replied that 51.7% of them keeps nutrition as a must in food, 35% said they
give value to taste & flavor, and 13.3% said they look for speed to make
any food, that how much time they have in hand. When the kids influence from
food of other cultures was inquired; 53.3% said their kids are influenced by
other cultures food, 15% said no, and 31.7% said sometimes.
When shopping preference was asked,
31.7% said they do shopping mostly online, 43.3 said they shop in mostly in
stores, and 23.3% said all in stores. When participant were asked about grouping
appeals from them; 31.7% said simple and clear appeals, 26.7% said nostalgic
appeals, 21.7% said exciting & bold appeals, and 20% said they like trendy
& unique appeals. 20 participants replied that they are influenced by ads
on TV & magazine, whereas 16 participants said that they are influenced by
online ads. It can be said after looking data that most participants were
involved in making breakfast with most working full time, and most of them they
keep nutrition as a priority for making food for their kids.
The breakfast market survey
include 51 respondents. The first question that was asked from the respondents
is that how often they eat breakfast per week. 15.7% respondents eats 0-1 days.
45% of the respondents eats 2-4 days a week and 39.2% eat 5-7 days a week.
Another question which was asked from the respondents were regarding the food
items people eat during breakfast. 15.4% respondents do not eat pancakes/
waffles in breakfast. 51% respondents say that they eat pancakes few times a
year. 26.9% respondents say that they eat pancakes per month. The question
regarding reduction in batter making time have generated 50/50 reviews from the
respondents. Some say they will eat pancake if batter making time reduces and
some still do not want to eat pancake/waffles.
Same response came when the
respondents were asked regarding the reduction in mess which occur during
making of pancake. 50 respondents say
that they will eat pancakes if the mess reduces and 50 respondents say that
they still do not prefer eating pancakes if the mess reduces during preparation
of pancakes. The question regarding preparation of breakfast by the respondents
themselves generate mix reviews. 13.5% respondents say that they cook breakfast
by themselves. 21.2% respondents say that they cook their breakfast few times a
year. 21.2% respondents say that they cook their breakfast few times a month.
%3.8% respondents of the survey say that they are primary cook and cook
different types of meals. 23.1% of the respondents say that they are not the
primary cook. !5.4% of the respondents say that they have never cook.
The demographic questions were
also asked from the respondents 59.6% of the respondents are belong to the age
group 23-30. 38.5% of the respondents belong to the age group of 17-22. 73.1%
of the respondents were single. 19.2% respondents were in relationship and 7.7%
of the respondents were married. 11 .5% students were part time students and
19.2% were full time students and also work as well. 23.1% respondents work full
time.
