The main purpose of conducting
the survey is to explore the perceptions of students about traveling
expectations and planning. There are 128 participants involved to conduct the
research study. The students of the University of Maine participated in the survey
as respondents. Traveling is the most beneficial and effective tool to teach
about the world. Through traveling experiences, a student can gain the better
known as compared to a classroom. So, in this research study student shared
their traveling perceptions and their deeds and priorities about traveling
anywhere. There are six sub questions of the survey research.
In these question, they asked by
the researcher about their deeds of traveling, first considerations, their
prior traveling partners, their favorite traveling destination and about the
planning of their traveling trips. According to the survey results the majority
students first consider their budget and then plan any trip. The most favorite
traveling place of majority of the students is Europe. Many students already
planned their trip. Their first consideration of the traveling partnership is
their family. These are some results which conducted through the survey
research.
Background of Travel Survey
According to a report traveling of
different regions and places can change the perception of the person and also
provokes the understanding and self-efficacy. A person can gain better
knowledge and understanding about the different perspectives and phenomenon as
compared to a classroom (Student Flights, 2017). Every traveling
experience affects a person positively o its mind and its thinking process. A
person can easily change its perceptions about the world. Every new experience
can lead the student towards the unknown to known. New experiences affect a lot
on the learning process of any human so traveling provides every vast vision of
experiences and thinking (AriRagavan, Subramonian, &
Sharif, 2011).
To identify the perception of
different people in any traveling study is considered the most important
perspective. The changing in climate also effects on the traveling perceptions
of different people. A student can easily earn with the help of its
surroundings and environment so, the efficiencies can bother then the higher
level with the help of traveling experiences (Lopes, 2015). The safety is another most important
influential facto to provoke the traveling demands in students. Any student can
easily get ready for that place which he finds secure and safe for the tip as
compared to that place which he considers more unsafe and insecure. So, this
factor may also affect a lot to the perception of students about traveling (Repnik &
Mekinc, 2015).
Research Method of Travel Survey
To fulfill the tasks of survey
research, the researcher surveyed the University of Maine to collect the data.
The data was collected by the university students. There were almost 128
students of the university who respond about the traveling. There are some
questions about traveling and researcher took the review of students about
them. The first question was about the consideration of travelers before them
choosing the holiday destination. The second one was their favorite place where
they want to visit in the future, is there have any vacation plans of
traveling, is thee they have any traveling plans in the next six months. Do
they often travel to the US for the trip, about their usual traveling partners,
what are their choices regards their traveling?
Discussion of Travel Survey
In this section, the results of
the study will be discussed. As we stated that there are five main questions
and researcher took their feedback through their perceptions. The first
question was “What do you consider
before choosing a holiday destination?” 46% of students responded that their
first consideration should be the budget. There are many options such as hotel
choice, the price of the trip, length of travel, destination, weather, who I am
going to travel with any other. The almost 60 students out 128 have their
perception that the budget is a most important factor when they start to plan
the trip.
The second survey question is “Where would you like to visit in the
future?” there are many different options of the country and 30% people
responded that they want to travel to Europe. 39 out of 128 considered that
there wish to go to Europe for the trip. The next survey question is “Do you
have any vacation plans in the next 6 months?” there were two options of yes or
no. 54%, almost 70 out of 128 of participants responded that they have their
vacation planning in the next 6 months.
The next survey question is “Do you usually travel abroad for your
trip(s)?” there two options for the respondents, one is travel abroad and the
other is stay in the US. 54.69% people stated that they like to stay in the US.
They were almost 70 respondents out of 128. The fifth and most interesting
question in the survey research was “Who do you usually travel with?” There were many different options such
as friends, family, partner, alone, and other. So 50% of people respond that they
like to travel with their families. The last question of survey research was “Which of the following is most important to
you in regards to your travel?” the first consideration of the respondents is
their destination. 52% people perceive that destination is a most important
factor when they plan any trip.
Conclusion of Travel Survey
I conclude with the study of
traveling is, students of University Maine have different perceptions about the
traveling. They all have different traveling experiences and different deeds
about traveling. Some respondents like to travel Europe rip, some like to
travel with their families, some have already panned about traveling, and some
respondents like to travel in the US. These results conclude the behavior of
students towards traveling. The study also uncovers the effectiveness of
traveling without intercepting the studies. In nutshell, traveling is a favorite
business for everyone and it includes all the perceptional thing containing
activities and learning.
