Mark Zuckerberg is the founder of
the world most famous social media website known as Face book. Over the years
Mark Zuckerberg has lead its organization and provide direction to the company.
Through analyzing the leadership style of Mark Zuckerberg it can be said that
the he has transformational leadership style. The transformational leadership
style focus on continuous improvement and innovation. Zuckerberg like to change
challenges and always ready for something new.
He has provided authority and power to its employees and allow them to
take part in the decision making process. He has removed the traditional
hierarchy and provided relaxed environment to its employees.
The present case deals with all
the related subjects learned in the chapters including strategic mission and
objectives of Facebook, planning and elements of organizational structures (Panmore. com, 2018). The mission
statement of Facebook in 2013 states that prime mission of the Facebook is to
bring the people closer to share the powers and to have connections with the
people (Panmore. com, 2018). The Facebook as an internet
corporation is working as a social network and a public company. Facebook is
listed as largest social networking websites that provides opportunity to the
users to remain connected. The mission of the Facebook is to make the world
connected an open for all the users (Panmore. com, 2018).
The feature of Facebook is
notable strategies and structures such as corporate function based team
members. The organizational structure of Facebook is different from other
organizations (Panmore. com, 2018). The structure is divisional and hybrid
of hierarchical structure. In the system, hybrid and combined divisions works
collectively. The structure is designed as according to the needs, nature of
process, and goals (Panmore. com, 2018).
The planning of Facebook is to
keep the people closer and Facebook is working efficiently to reduce the
distance between users at global levels, the mission statement of organization
is not providing efficient understating for the decision making process and
actions of Facebook. Different strategies are implemented by Facebook to
improve the services and to access the mission. There are four main components
that Facebook considers for the development including public image and
employees, self-concept, and philosophy (Panmore. com, 2018).
Mark Zuckerberg has excellent
communication skills which allow him to provide effective direction to its
employees. Zuckerberg takes active part in different activities of the
organization which is a quality of good leader. Zuckerberg has transformed its
corporation to provide good working environment to its employees so that they
won’t face any difficulty. Zuckerberg has improved the efficiency of employees’
through guidance and continuous motivation which leads to the success of the
corporation. The empowerment he gave to its employees allow them to generate
unique ideas and solve the problem through taking rational decisions.
