In terms of human system design and modeling the second
stage is known as advanced development. The second stage is further sub-divided
into three stages. Allocation of requirements, Trade off and Optimization and
Detailed design specifications.
Allocation of Requirements: Sub-systems and component
units are provided with several factors which help the HF engineer to develop
performance of sub-systems and component units by fulfilling all the
requirements.
Trade off and Optimization: HF designer has to discover
the optimal configuration by the help of analytical methods such as
mathematical techniques in human operator and technological model. Model is
important as it aids in risk free experimentation. Complicated events such as
neuromuscular events which are not easy to observe are studied. It allows
understanding of tests, sensitivity tests and non-destructive testing which can
replace ethically sensitive human experimentation.
Detailed Design Specifications: It allows HF designer
to explained detailed specifications and provides the information about
necessary design detail and its development.
