Upadhyay,
Soin, & Roy (2014) have explained in
their research that the major emphasis of the researchers is to provide the pure potable
water to communities, after the rapid growing population which can be done now
with development of new techniques, materials and devices. Catalysts is
progressing, whereas, the development of new metal oxide, the slower pace of
albeit, high surface area rapid and concurrent development. Catalyst supports,
in the development of the multifunctional catalysts, the unprecedented promise
has been provided by the graphene and its functionalized derivates. Multiple
roles include photocatalysts , antimicrobial agents and adsorbents which are
very effective for the water pollutants like heavy metal, water borne pathogens
and organic molecules (but not limited to) can be performed by the metal oxide/grapheme
as per recent studies. [1]
This article explains about
the water treatment with the application of metal oxide/graphene and
remediation of water with the help of disinfectant, photocatalyst and
adsorbent. It is very important to investigate the metal oxide/graphene, long
term biological impact on other living beings before its application as
disinfectant at mass level because mankind health is very sensitive issue and
water quality is directly linked to it [1].
