In
order to improve the sustainability in the supply chain, the corporate
stakeholders are facing pressures by customers, investors, shareholders and
nonprofit components. According to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4
Guidelines, several methods are devised to improve the sustainability in the
supply chain. The improvement of the supply chain in the companies depends on
the management of economic performance, social conditions, and the
environmental process of the company. The optimized processes depend on the
conserve resources that uncovers the innovations and save costs (Greenbiz. com, 2014). The research in the
business shows that supply chain sustainability is important for the growing
processes. the companies tend to expand the sustainability programs and
struggle for the implementation process (Enablon. com, 2017). In the early stages, the companies
work for the sustainable supply chain programs and the initial stages include
mapping of the supply chain, communication with the expectations, baseline
supplier performance, the driving process for the improvement of the process,
development of training and capacity building programs, and by joining all the
industry collaboration (Enablon. com, 2017). Different companies have developed
supplier sustainability programs by considering the robust tracking tools for
monitoring of supplier performance and by improving the time consideration. The
implementation of performance logistics can be used to determine sustainability
improvement (Enablon. com, 2017). The integrated sustainability criteria
for the supply chain programs provides procurement process. The shift in the
creation of supply chain sustainability process can leverage the power of buyer
and have significant influence. Companies tend to expand the business by direct
operations across the supply chain process. The development of a company
increases by encouraging the innovation process (Greenbiz. com, 2014). The most
significant process is employment engagement with the system of company and how
much they are committed to access the reality and effective initiatives. The
employee engagement with the company increase the efficiency of the company and
generates great impact on the development of company.
