Huesemann and Huesemann argue for
a complex set of conditions needed to make technology environmentally
responsible, identify a current “green” technology and see if it stands up to
Huesemann’s critique.
Thesis Statement of Hussmann and Hussmann Argue
Michael Huesemann & Joyce
Huesemann has set several conditions which should be implemented to make a
technology sustainable or environmentally friendly. With the passage of time
the technology is becoming advance day by day and providing the solution to a
huge amount of people. Many individuals believe that the advancement in the
technology is necessary and providing the solution for a lot of problems
however individuals do not think that how the latest technology is impacting
the environment in the long run. The new
technologies provide the solution to various problems however they unable to
meet all the conditions set by Huesemann & Huesemann.

C., Paz, A. I., Ramaprasad, A., & Syn, T. (2018). Technological innovation
for sustainable growth: An ontological perspective. Journal of Cleaner
Production, 179, 31-41.
In the article, the technological
innovation is discussed in detail by the researchers Christian A. Cancino &
Ariel I. La Paz, Arkalgud Ramaprasad and Thant Syn. In this research, the
researchers have stated the importance of sustainability in technological
development. In the study, the framework is presented through which technological
innovation can become sustainable. The findings of the study show that there is
a research gap that needs to be fulfilled by conducting future research
studies. This study has huge scope however future research is required to
identify how the technology can become more environment-friendly and will
provide more benefit to society. Through this study, it is evident that the
issue of sustainable growth of technology exists.
The article directly relates to
my research topic, therefore, using the information form this article in my
research will be a great way to make my research more authentic. Main points
and findings presented in the article can be directly summarized to draw
conclusions and enhance literature review for the research. However, an article
will also support me in explaining the complex set of conditions that are
required to make technological innovations and current technology
environmentally responsible. Through the use of theories and findings presented
in this article recommendations regarding the promotion of green technology can
be drawn.
Journal Article: 2 of Hussmann and Hussmann Argue
Huesemann, M. H. (2003). The
limits of technological solutions to sustainable development. 5, 21-34.
In this Article, Michael
Huesemann discusses the issue of sustainable development and argued that the
technologies do [provide a lot of benefits however their impact on the
environment reduce their overall benefit. In the article, the Huesemann have
discussed the limits that the latest technologies have. It is important for the
organization to develop such technologies which not only provide the solution
to the problems but also remain environment-friendly so that maximum benefit to
the society
In accordance with the research
article, the technology most of the time develop a temporary island of order
for the environment that usually results in the increase of great disorders in
the environment and surroundings. basically, the whole review of the article
concludes that if we want to have eco-efficiency in the environment then we
need to have focused on the sustainability rather than the economic growth that
is most of the time supported by the technology. However, in the article, it is
illustrated that the technological factor is referred to the environmental
impact and unit DGP. Article not only provide the technological solutions but
also elaborate the concepts and ideas of Housemann towards the green
environment and technology, therefore, article can be used in the thesis to
elaborate the arguments of the Housemann and to determine whether the idea
should be supported or not.

The Huesemann has provided detail
conditions through which the environment can be protected. Huesemann has set
several conditions which should be implemented to make a technology sustainable

of the Environmental Kuznets Curve: A Theoretical Analysis. Peter Lang.
Retrieved 11 23, 2018
Lieb in 2004 wrote his book on
the topic of Environmental Kuznets curves to elaborate the major reasons that
are contributing to the promotion of Environmental Kuznets. In the book, the
writer explained the role of technology in the emission and pollution rising in
the environment. Book also discusses the ways through which we can make the
technology safe and environmental friendly. The book written by the Lieb
relates to my thesis as in his book he also elaborated the ideas and beliefs of
Housemann regarding the poor environmental condition. In accordance with the
book, Huesemann claim that one of the major reason behind the poor
environmental conditions in the world is lack of resources spent on
environmental research.
Houseman claim that local
environmental policy reforms are causing to increase the chances of emission
reductions as most of the time whole making such local environmental policy
reformers ignore the possible intergenerational and international consequences.
Thus the presented arguments and other relevant arguments available in the book
about the Housemann and environment can be used in the thesis to make the
thesis more accurate, authentic, and related the previous research and
literature.

Romijn, H., Swierstra, T., & Hoven, J. v. (2015). Responsible Innovation 2:
Concepts, Approaches, and Applications. Springer. Retrieved 11 23, 2018
The book was written in 2015 on
the topic of responsible innovations. The book is a great contribution for my
research topic as in this book Authors elaborated the technological innovation
in detail with its impact on the environment. While other than this authors
also discussed the views and arguments of the Housemann about the technological
innovations. In accordance with the book, philosophers accept that
technological innovations and excessive use of technology for economic growth
are responsible for the rapid and continuous destruction in the environment,
its resources (as fossil fuels), and impoverishment of the population all over
the globe. In the book views of housemann are used to support the argument that
technology is causing to increase in destruction in the environment. As in the
book, it is presented that housemann elaborated in 2011 that economic systems
currently being implemented in our society are mainly dependent on the growth
for survival concept.
As he presented the examples of
the more of everything like more cheap labor, more raw material, and more new
markets. In accordance with his point of view, such factors are the major
reasons and the root cause of the problems raised in the environment for
sustainability and green environment concepts. As in this book, detailed
analysis and arguments are presented with examples that are related to my
research topic (thesis topic) therefore review and use of this book in my
research will support me in identifying and explaining the relation of the
technological innovations and the impact of technological innovation on the
environment.
Conclusion on Hussmann and Hussmann Argue
If all the above discussion is
summarized than it is evident that The Huesemann has provided detail conditions
through which the environment can be protected. Huesemann has set several
conditions which should be implemented to make a technology sustainable or
environment friendly. With the passage of time the technology is becoming
advance day by day and providing the solution to a huge amount of people. Many
individuals believe that the advancement in the technology is necessary and
