The main goal of the project is
to provide a helpful tool for beneficiaries to understand public feelings and
opinions expressed in tweets for helping them react and take an action
accordingly.

Project
scope of Social media platforms
We are establishing a web-based
application “Public’s Radar” that utilizes Arabic twitter posts only.
Therefore, English tweets will not be considered. Public’s Radar will
give the users the ability to know about the people’s opinion, emotion or
sentiment, by searching about a subject or keyword. Since the applications that
do sentiment analysis in Arabic are very limited, we will target either
individuals or companies who are interested in Saudi opinions. Furthermore,
Public’s Radar will analyze the information in form of tweets and categorize
them into (positive, negative or neutral).
The user will be able to see a graphical
representation with the percentage that shows how the majority feels. However,
user does not have to register into the system to browse the website. Also, it
can help the users in being proactive and take immediate actions when needed.
As a result, it can help your business make further sales or bring in new
customers.
