The aim of the paper is to
provide deep insights regarding the automotive industry of Saudi Arabia. In the
recent years the automotive industry of Saudi Arabia has experience immense
growth and provide variety of opportunities for the organizations. The major
reason for the increase in automotive industry is the increase in demand of the
vehicles in the region. In the paper the extensive literature review has been
performed to evaluate the automotive industry in the country. Furthermore, the
Concentration ratio and HHI index have been evaluated to know the size and
growth of the automotive industry of Saudi Arabia. In this study the previous
studies regarding the Saudi Automotive industry are evaluated to know whether
the automotive industry is growing steadily over the years or not [1].
Through literature review those
issues will also be identified which the Saudi Automotive industry is facing.
The articles which have been reviewed in the literature focus on the growth
& development of Automotive sector. Toyota Corporation has dominated the
sales in the country and have the highest market share. Hyundai cars have
second largest market share in the country that is approximately 19%. Ford car
has 8% market share and it has the third largest market share [2].
