Development of Anti-slip devices

Category: Arts & Education Paper Type: Case Study Writing Reference: IEEE Words: 400

The prime objective of Universal design centers is to increase the safety, health, usability, and physical support. In the winter season the main challenge is the mobility of users and snow and ice induces barrier and hazardous condition for the cold temperature workers. For the protection of users the design of winter footwear is essential condition [11]. The important factor for the designing of winter footwear includes thermal protection, aesthetics, cost, and comfort. The main aspects of winter footwear designs are two major condition including usability and slip resistance.

The crucial aspect is the functional limitation of slip-resistant devices. The Limited muscle strength, mobility of joints, exhausting issues can reduce the functionality of anti-slip devices [11]. There are four major groups of outdoor workers including newspaper delivery service, construction company, mining company, and military regiments. The gait stabilizing devices increases slip resistance under the Icy conditions. The consequences related to the wearing of anti-slip devices major concerns of the present studies. In the Toronto rehabilitation Institute there are two major ongoing projects that includes winter footwear and anti-slip devices for the slopes and transitions [11].

The research identified favorable design, assembly of methods and materials that works effectively for the anti-slip devices. The modification in gait can reduced the falling incidents. If the step length is decreased, the restriction will be applied on the leg swing, and rollover phase can be treated the reserves in the flat approach [11]. The flat lift of the foot on the ground reduces the chances of falling accidents. The heel device is associated with the natural heel Strike, the foot blade device provides the support to the natural toe off. The foot blade device provides support to the balance walking and functional group [11].

In the present research the anti-slip devices are required to be designed and these devices are expected to help in the prevention of slipping and falling on the icy roads. The design of road grippers must be attractive and highly functional to have impact on the falling and slipping issues. The devices can be activated and deactivated for the remote and thermostat controls. The risk of slips decreases by using the anti-slip devices [11].
