The present research was
based on the literature review of anti-slip devices and road grippers. The
research proposed different methods to reduce the accidents of falling and
slipping on the icy roads. Different types of anti-slip devices were considered
along with different slippery surface analysis for the locals and pedestrians.
Different surface conditions were considered such as ice covered, pure ice,
salt on ice, and snow ice covered. The subjective priorities were given to the
individual experience and walking behavior. The research identified effect of
using anti slip devices on the falling and accident rates in all the ice
covered and snow covered areas.
