In this lab
experiment the purpose of the lab is do the analysis of the Sedimentation,
filtration, and disinfection. Also calculate the following parameters, like the
dimension of the sedimentation’s tanks, and for the filtration the surface area
plus the depth of the filter beds, plus the volume sand as well as Anthracite across
each filter bed, minimum Backwash velocity. For the disinfectant calculate the
minimum volume of the reservoir, and the chlorine dose that contact the time.

Sedimentation is
the separations process which is used for blends for the strong fluid, in the
various industries. Sedimentation is the treatment process where the water of the
slowly flowing by the reservoir, due the low flow of the velocities with the
particles that is able to deposits for the bottom of reservoir. Distinction

Filtrations is
the process of separating that is suspended the solid matters from the liquid
through causing latter to pass by the pores of various substance, is known as filter.
Filtrations are some various mechanical, biological, physicals operations which
are separated from the solids, fluids through adding the medium by which only
the fluid can pass. Filtrations occurs both during nature in engineered
systems, where the biological, geological, as well as the industrials forms.
Disinfectant is the antimicrobial agents which are
applied for the surface of the non living objects to destroy the microorganism
for the living on the objects. Disinfection does not
necessarily kill the microorganisms; especially the resistant’s for the bacterial
spores. It is less effective then sterilizations.

Design lab is the place for the group of all ages, to
explore the creativity, engineering designs as well as problems to solving by
the hands-on collaborative activities.
In design lab activity the method used for the Sedimentations , horizontal
flow, radial flow, inclined plate , ballasted floc. And for the filtration the
method used is pad filtrations, reverse osmosis, osmotic distillations
