Answer
1:
Mission for Network-Nun on the bus is led by a sister named as Simone Campbell.
A small group of different people are travelling in the United States to fight
for the Tax law which was being approved. Their mission is to break this law
because they think that this is against the justice and Jesus didn’t want this
in the way. Rich people are taking tax on the name of law from poor people and
are just filling their own pockets with money. Poor people already can’t afford
school fess, food and things like this so this should be stopped. They have a
mission to ask from people that who agrees with the law and who don’t so that
they can do protest to change this law.
Answer: 2. 2-Consider NETWORK’s brand and
the brand for the campaign. Are they effective? Explain.
Of course, all the effort being done by
different people who are travelling in different cities is effective. There are
many of the people in the society who can’t raise their voice on their own but
if the group becomes large than obviously voice also becomes heavy and people
start listening to it. All this effort is just being done to make justice and
faith in the country and make people relax from the burden of Tax which has
been named as a law. So I think yes this is a great effort and everyone who can
be a part of this campaign should raise their voice to get justice for the poor
people.
Answer
3. 3-Why did they select the route that was taken?
The Nuns in the bus started their tour from
Los Angeles and finished their trip in Palm Beach, Florida at a Mara logo resort.
They took this route to cover maximum cities so that they can know and listen
about different stories from different people and then can tell each of them to
the president after reaching Mara Logo resort. They
also chose this city for the tour, because this has not only been affected by
the politics, but this city has also seen the effects on economic terms as
well. Their advertising strategy was so effective as it had the potential to
attract the attention of people.
Answer: 4. 4-What was the purpose of the
Nuns on the Bus tour stopping in Erie?
Purpose of the Nuns on the Bus tour stopping
in Erie is to spread the word on the equality of wealth. Main purpose was to stop
at different towns to do the same task and same is the case with Erie. Another
reason for stopping in Erie is that many of the factories were getting closed
due to low budget and further projects were getting cancelled. People living
their welcomed all the travelers with full enthusiasm. Team Nuns on the Bus
just wants to make people realize that GOP tax law should not have been made
and now it should not be continued because through this poor people are
becoming unable to bear their expenditures and rich people are getting richer
day after day.

5:
Nuns on the bus is symbolic movement aiming to spread awareness about the
social issues. This event was effective in outreach of message. They were able
to have attention of the masses and their message resonated within the
political lobbies too. It helps the group emerge on its basic and core values
of social justice. The group was able to make their demands or concerns
recognized at a national level. The group didn’t use only religion but were
rational as well. They used a rational approach in
spreading their message, which was to spread their message by doing something
different than using the traditional protest people do so that their voice can
be heard, and they and make it able to get across that they want social
justice. The underlying meaning of the movement always has been religion and
social justice but they focused on social justice part to draw attention. They
have been very successful to do it. They used an
emotional as well as moral appeal that raising tax is putting more pressure on
the poor ones, whereas rich are getting richer, so suppressing the deprived
group of society is morally wrong.

6: Nuns
on the bus did not do anything out of the box but it was the symbolic that nuns
came out on road. They had a political agenda coupled with religious beliefs.
They traveled 5000 miles to campaign to people to vote. Equating it with doing
well and playing part in the judge. They used their position to motivate people
and encourage them. The nuns were able to influence the people with their
social status and call them to action for the greater interest to come out of
the houses. Also they added nuns support as they move along different cities. This support was generated to encourage people to vote for
this cause in upcoming election. To make a pledge for voting, the people were
also given an opportunity to make their signatures on the nuns’ bus to show
their utmost willingness and support for this social cause.
Answer 7: The
whole idea on which the nuns on the bus are based on engaging community and
expanding the network for their mission. The movement is a peaceful one aiming
to harmonize the social justice demands of people. There were different things
the network achieved. The few success for the community of the movement is;
-
They encouraged people to vote: people didn’t use to think before giving votes
and never bothered as well. But they encouraged the people living in small
towns to go out of their houses and give votes.
- Made people aware of the social
issues: Many of the people are not aware of the social issues.
They helped people in letting know about all such issues.
- They had a clear vision and
political agenda: They wanted to help people who couldn’t
raise their voices and they had clear vision what they need to do.
Apart
from this the movement emerged as the community leader and a platform for
people to organize without being associated with any political party. Despite
having a political agenda they were able to emerge as nonpolitical pro people
force within people. The greatest success was they were able to resonate to their
core beliefs with the masses that they came in contact with. They were also
able to break certain stereotypes of oppression of the sisters. They talking
about issues empowered women and nuns and showed the positive aspect of the church
