In the present age, people are taking Supplements as
vitamins and minerals for a balanced and healthful diet. However, research by Nhs.uk in 2018 has proved that supplements are risky for the human being as in
the case of over-consumption and wrong selection major side effects of the
supplements include headache, liver damages, nausea, and vomiting (Maffei, 2003). However, it is also said that
overconsumption of the supplements can cause cancer also. Therefore, research
supports the idea that supplements should be under the control of the Health
ministry. Considering the cases of side effects and wrong use of the
supplements the best idea to take control over the situation is to provide
professional training to the doctors and medical staff about the right and safe
use of supplements. Maffei in 2003
conclude that limitations set by the health ministry on the open sales
of the supplements in the society can help us reduce the possible risk
associated with supplements regarding our health (Nhs.uk, 2018).
