Many research studies are depicted
that training can be the part to solving the problems but only the trainingcannot
be solved the problems. As it is shown in this case the remarks of the David, who
is leading toward the issues related to people getting along. This problem can
be among the information, processes, departments and peoples of the
organization. For solving this problem it is recommended that it will assess all
of these by the involvement of the organizational development. The changes can
be decided for the organization after identifying the problems as well as the
strategy and approach can planned or organize for solving this problem.Training
is eventually playing central role for problem solving & it can increases
the awareness related to improvement and change for the processes of the
streamline (Head, 2015).

Summarize
how you would conduct a needs assessment.
By following the approach of the
need assessments, I will take its start by following the strategy of the one-on-one
discussion, management and leadership team as well as by understanding its
feel. It can be start by interacting with those people who are associated with
ground level for knowing about the reality of the ground which can present the
real assessment of the current assessment for observing the intervention of the
organization. After the completion of this the interaction of the key contact
person is required for those situations which have needed for discussion and
intervention for the mutual agreement. It must be implemented for the improved
version to identifying the training session. It will make sure the processes
are smooth that’s why the organization is relying on the harmonious culture for
performing its activities. When there will be problem related to the personal level
then it have required the planning of the counseling level means the management
must be provide the counseling to the employee who is facing the problems for performing
his task (Wright, 2018).

2- Many
people feel that mentoring relationships should occur naturally, in situations
where senior managers feel inclined to play the role. What are some advantages
of setting up a formal mentoring program, rather than letting senior managers
decide how and whom to help?
It is
important to understand that every individual may possess some mentoring
skills, but the issue is that they don’t know about those skills, or never
explore those skills in their personality. However, there can be situations,
which may force them to come out with their mentoring skills. The senior manger
do have enough experience to go with mentoring skills, but it is important for
them to make sure that these mentoring skills are transferred to others as
well. For this purpose, a mentoring program with some specific strategy can be
extremely beneficial as everyone will get an equal opportunity to explore their
mentoring skills. Moreover, people will also get to know about true traits of
mentoring with a mentoring program.
3- Summarize how each of
the following HR functions can contribute to high performance:
Job Design: A job has certain roles, tasks and responsibilities
to perform, so job design is crucial in this regard, as it would allow determining
these roles as well as responsibilities.
Recruitment and
selection: It is another key
function performed by HR. The HR will determine a job description, and then
relevant candidates will be selected and recruited by HR. It is important for
HR to make sure that right person is selected for the right job.
Training and development: The HR has to manage this function
as well, which is another critical one for the employees. The proper training
and development program can enhance the performance of a company by enhancing
the capabilities and skills of their employees through training, which is
needed time to time.
Performance management: It is the essence of managing performance
of employees through certain patterns so that their overall performance can be improved.
The employee must not be assigned a task, which cannot fall under his/her
expertise, rather assign the tasks with their expertise so that performance is
managed well
Compensation: A proper compensation plan is
crucial for an organization’s employees as it would keep them motivated and
dedicated for their employer. If employee will get rewarded for their efforts,
they will perform even better.
4- How can involving employees in the creation of performance
standards improve the effectiveness of a performance management system?
(Consider the criteria for effectiveness shown in Figure 8.2.)
As
per the effectiveness criteria, it is evident that performance standard
creation can come up with better results, if employees are involved in the
process. If an acceptability criterion is used along with the sessions on
feedback, then there is more chance that organization will be able to meet the
expectations of its employees. When employees’ need will be met, it will
automatically improve the efficacy of performance management system. For
instance, if a manager is going to apply some performance standards for
employees, he/she must make sure that these standards would be actually
acceptable for employees. Moreover, employees should be provided a proper
feedback on new performance standards so that they may expect that what change
is coming for them, and they prepare themselves for those acceptable standards.
