In the chapter “What is Hinduism? On the History of a Religious Tradition”, the teachings of Islam are readily graspable and its history is clear. The fact cannot be missed that the two religions i.e. Islam and Christianity have a common legacy and common structure. On the other hand, according to the article, Hinduism, by contrast with Islam, until recently has not been in competition with Christianity. The author has explained Hinduism as ‘a collection of religion’; hence the difference is great between Hindu understandings of religion. In the next chapter, the author has discussed the teaching of Buddha as a way to redemption along with the aspects that unite Jesus and Gautama. Jesus, like Gautama, was a wandering preacher, homeless, unpretentious, and poor who experienced a critical turning point in his life that made him go out to viral and proclaim his message. According to the author, a cruelest and fanatical struggle are those that are legitimized as well as colored and inspired by the religion.

Islam has been quite easy to understand as it has quite close ties to Christianity. The concepts are understandable and considering the easy nature, it is not difficult to see beneath the layers and understand what is actually flowing there. What makes Islam as a religion very easy is actually the same origin as Christianity. Young people from America and Europe have explored the religion and they found themselves in a whirlpool which seemed to be endless. As they thought, they were closer to grasping the attitudes of people towards different, the found themselves at the beginning of the real deal. Countless years have been spent by Europeans just trying to figure out the meaning of Hinduism and what is it that the word actually harnesses. So many years have been spent because the word doesn’t seem to describe the religion at all. Many times, Sikhs have been termed as Hindus as well. However, that is not actually the truth at all. Hinduism is about something entirely else and the origins of the term have to be studied in order to understand just what the term compromises of.

Hinduism is tough because of the collection of religions as well and there are classifications which specify the behaviors and attitudes of Hindus as well. As religions phase through, Buddhism is evaluated. At the time of Buddhism, there were many teachers and their teachings for new pupils. Such a time was spread with happiness and that is when the Siddhartha Gautama took the role of the Buddha. It means that he was the enlightened or the awakened one. The peace of the world, somehow, and a little bit is related to the peace among religions. They certainly do play an important role in decreasing the hatred and lessening the hostility among people. For the peace in the world, there has to be peace in religions as well. [1]
