Apart from this it’s not just one social class of people that visits Dubai but people from different socio-economic classes visit Dubai. Dubai is visited by the people ranging from Europe to Middle Eastern and South Asian countries. This shows the level of diversity Dubai hosts and continues to be the preferred vacation spot by the tourists. Dubai is an economic hub for many stakeholders around the globe due to accessibility and convenience that the city offers.

A seaside mall on the Palm Jumeirah is needed for the innovation of Dubai to capitalize on the brand equity of the brand Dubai is and what values it stands for. The social impacts of a sea side mall in the Palm Jumeirah include many. The impacts will be diverse and on many fronts. The social impact greatly will be that it will increase the footfall in the area I.e it will be visited by many people increasing activity in the Palm Jumeirah. Also it will affect the residents as they will have access to a mall and will be a good experience for them as it will provide them with leisure shopping time and a great view. A sea side shopping mall means it will be away from the city and it would reduce the rush on the city and accommodate smooth business activities. The residents won’t have to travel far in the Dubai city. Another positive impact will be on the economy of the Dubai. The Palm Jumeirah houses the premium part of the brand Dubai. The business activity on the sea side means something unique that will attract millions per year generating revenue worth billions which will eventually help Dubai in the social and economic terms. The development of the modern rail transport system is another reason that the sea side mall should be promoted and approved by the Dubai municipal authority. Social and Economic indicators will improve as the result of this mall. The living standards of the residents will improve and better infrastructure will aid to more development. One of the more impacts will be that the Urbanized Dubai will focus on the outer areas of the city and make lives of the resident easy. Not only will this social impact be the increased economic activity but will also cause an increase in the real estate business which directly benefits the residents of Dubai and Palm Jumeirah.

The mall density in the area is high with shops in the areas reflecting the population there whereas the Palm Jumeirah represents the upper and elite class.  Palm Jumeirah is like another city in Dubai equipped with the best in Dubai in terms of mall and the facilities. Dubai is a brand and Palm Jumeirah adds to the value of the brand. The Palm Jumeirah attracts tourists living in other parts of Dubai and serves as the economic hub with the Atlantis being situated there along with other facilities that add to the premium feel of the Dubai brand. The aim of the report is to discuss the impact of a seaside mall on Palm Jumeirah Island but it is important to recognize the dynamics of Dubai and the mall culture in Dubai in context of how it is going to reflect on the Palm Jumeirah. It is imperative to recognize that Dubai is now more than a city. It is a brand that represents development, forwards thinking, futuristic approach, accessibility and convenience [2]. How has Dubai been able to acquire all of this in such a small time frame from being a dessert to being an economic hub, tourist spot and shopper’s heaven? The answer to this successful brand is the rapid economic growth and development.  Dubai became an industrial state and that played it smart in the real estate to become a tourist spot and a dynamic market. The malls have played a major role in the development of Dubai as a strategic city and tourist spot in the world. It is safe to say that the malls of Dubai host all high end brands from around the world. The Mall of Dubai and Ibn E Battuta Mall reflect the dynamic malls in the Dubai and the malls itself are tourist spots attracting millions per year. The malls generate revenue that contributes to the development of the Dubai as a city and strategic socio-economic spot for tourists and businesses. The market of Dubai is dynamic with diverse customers of all around the world making the market competitive [3].

Many of the world’s richest people own residences in the Palm Jumeirah.  The urban development and the shopping trends in Dubai show that the businesses of mall and premium brands are great in Dubai and there is a lot of market that can be catered. A mall by the sea side in Palm Jumeirah adds to the dynamic market of Dubai and a heaven to premium shoppers.

To conclude there are many reasons why a sea side mall should be approved that mainly include

It is the need of time as it will emerge as something new and innovating in the name of Dubai as a brand

The Economic and social impact are great

It adds to the premium outlook and standard of Palm Jumeirah

The residents and the Municipality will greatly benefit from the mall in terms of economic and social activity

The most important reason is that it will be one of the kinds and the first one by the sea side in Palm Jumeirah and will catch worldwide attention.
