Here
we investigate the technical feasibility of converting the paper mill sludge
into fuel ethanol. Removal of mineral fillers is involved by using the
pretreatment either chemical otherwise to determine their effects mechanical
fractionation on cellulose hydrolysis as well as fermentation to ethanol. We present here the result from the paper
mill sludge the fillers content removed. Here we describe the process flow
diagram here as well as also explain the process;
As
we demonstrate about the material and method of this process flow diagram. Here
we take the sample of paper mills sludge. These paper mills sludge go to the
other section that is de-ashing of primary sludge. This section is used for the
removal of the primary sludge. Then it is filtered and the solid residue goes
to the enzymatic hydrolysis process. This process performed at 50 degree
Celsius. This experiment of hydrolysis was run in triplicate. After that the
solids-free sugar solution was stored until the fermentation, enzymatic hydrolysis
performed, for the fermentation experiment. The fermentation process is used
for the production of biomass or ethanol. After the fermentation process
distilled the ethanol and the waste stream is also released
Here
we discuss about the N-VIRO Biodry Process. In this process to dry the sludge
heated air is used or by-products manure mixed with alkaline. In a rotary drum
dryer drying is done. Compared to the conventional process less by-products is
used for disinfection since part of the required heat from the dryers comes.
Final product could be better controlled final solids content. In particle size
final product is more uniform. Sludge/ fly ash entering the rotary drum bio
dryer. Modification of the BioDry process is known as N-Viro fuel process. Consequently
we call it as the modern biodry process. As an additive fly ash power plant
used in this process. From the Biodryer the exhaust gases contains for NOx
reduction ammonia that could be used. Because of the Volatile nature of sludge
traditional Sludge dryers are prone to fires as well as explosion. These
operational problems are not faced by Biodryer. Above air-drying temperatures
research showed that the addition of mineral by-products to raise the sludge
raised ignition.
