Report about which I am going to write about is my
Co-operative training program in which I will be discussing about my
experience. The name of my organization where I worked is EBBTIKAR TECHNOLOGY
COMPANY, and the post which was given to me here was Network Administrator. I
worked here for three months and in these three months I learnt a lot. I worked
in this company as a full time worker and the estimated time period was 35-40
hours each week. This is the company which provides solutions for the different
software which includes the integration of the system as well as the solutions
of the infrastructure. It also offers about the information consulting
technology and the other outgoing services. It also offers the distribution of
the parts of the computer like keyboard, mouse and monitor. This is a private
company and it was established in a year 2003. Currently in this company almost
1500 employees are working.
When I worked in this organization there was a supervisor
for me who helped me a lot. He was the assistant manager and he taught me a
lot. He was very fine, respectful, helpful and educated person. In this whole
time period whenever I faced any kind of the difficulty he was the one who
helped me out and guided me.
In the report I will write about all of the experience which
I had in this company while doing my research program. I will write about the
knowledge which I gained, how was the environment? and how it affected my
personality. What changes I felt and how I became more confident person I will
write about it all. I will also write about the things which fascinated and
which I disliked.
After introducing about the name of company and all about
it, I will start with my responsibility now. I had a big responsibility on me,
very first week I was just asked to see and learn things by staying at the desk
so that I could know that how employees deal with their clients in the
organization. After that I was given information about the spare parts that how
they can be repaired, along with this how software is being installed in the
computers. I was also given the responsibility to stay at the desk so that I
could know about the issues which are taking place in the other departments by
receiving the phone calls. Lastly I was asked to be a support of IT clerk in
which I had to manage some of the accounts of the staff and how password
problems are being solved.
I will also discuss that how was the environment of the company
and how staff interacted with me during the whole time period. Working in this
organization for me was a very enjoyable yet learning experience. I learnt
about many new things and techniques. I ever get the opportunity again to work
with this organization I would definitely not think for a second and would say
yes without any of the doubt. I had the best time working in the Ebbtikar
Technology Company. Along with the good experience, I also had to face many of
the challenges which I will discuss in this report that I would recommend so
that they don’t face any problem while dealing with them.
Work Environment Analysis of Co-operative training program
Environment in Ebbtikar Technology Company is very friendly,
it doesn’t look like an office but everyone work there as a family. Everyone
understands one another and co-operates as well. All the activities were
coordinated among the whole staff working there. No one was superior to the
other. Boss was not like a boss but he was more like a friend who was very kind
person. He listened to the problems of every employee in the problem and
whenever they faced any difficulty he was there every time without any anger or
tension. He face all the challenges happily in the whole time period when I was
there. There was an assistant manager who used to report each and every small
detail to the manager. While other managers of different departments used to
give report to the assistant manager.
During the three months I didn’t get chance to spend a lot
of time with the manager but for few of the times when I met him he was very
cheerful and had joyful nature. He used to crack jokes randomly to make their
people laugh and relax. I only met him when we used to had meeting or small
party gatherings but not personally. Sudden meetings were came up in the
company when there used to be any trouble or any of the new technology was to
be introduced to the team.
Manger had excellent managerial skills even at the times
when something was wrong or team used to get mad at times during the meetings
but he used to control them appropriately. I think this is one of the biggest
secret reason that this organization was stable and still is and never made any
of the big loss. In my whole time duration I noticed another thing that no one
got fired from their jobs and everyone was so serious and sincere to their
work. Human resource manager had great experience and he always used to make
right decision that who should be hired and who shouldn’t.
Manger also used to give small rewards to the employees who
had great report and worked well during the whole month. Through this action
people used to get motivated and wanted to work more to make their boss happy
and be in his good list to get reward.
Pay scale was very well along with the other benefits as
well. There was no burden on the employees due to which they become tired or
think of quitting the job. Small breaks were the part of job to make employees
fresh and relax. After every three months small packages were given to them as
well with their pay. In a year employees could take one month off with full pay
without any deduction. Environment was very good and satisfying.
Problems of Co-operative training program
According to my observation I noticed that the staff seemed
to challenge one another more since there were different people and all were
from different backgrounds. All of them had different living styles. This is
the reason due to which the working team was not able to come up with a broad
range of the solutions which is one of the very biggest challenge for the
company. Solution for this problem, I would recommend here that the company
should openly articulate about the values and staff should be diversified due
to which more amount of customers could be appealed.
Another problem which I noticed that whenever there was the
addition of any new technology in the company and meeting was called upon it
was on a very short notice and staff wasn’t informed about it. So here I think
that this urgent call up of the meeting can scare the staff that maybe some
problem has occurred. To give brief information about any of the new
technology, meetings should be pre planned so that staff knows to be there on
time without any panic or stress.
Analysis of the skills of Co-operative training program
As above mentioned I didn’t just perform one duty there
during my whole time period but had couple of duties. No doubt that I enjoyed
and learnt a lot and some of the tasks were not that much challenging yet they
were simple and easy. There were many challenges with me while I worked there
and came to know that I disliked them.
Very first duty was the observation there by sitting on the
desk and to see that how customers come and how one can deal with them. I faced
that no one was taking me serious there and I didn’t get an opportunity to
encounter with the customers. They should have given me chance to learn. Not
only through observations can anyone learn until or unless one don’t involve in
that activity or duty.
Secondly I had duty the responsibility of installing the
hardware and software systems in the computers. At first glance, I faced many
of the challenges in the installing and setting of the systems as I had no
experience with the routers, switches, cables and the configurations of the
LANS. I hated this work of installing the new networks and software as I used
to get tired and when I went back home I used to become so rude. My supervisor
in this work take advantage of mine in this task and put all of the
responsibility on me without thinking once that things should go smoothly and
time to time.
Thirdly I used to repair the damaged parts of the computer
like keyboards, monitor and all. I didn’t face much of the difficulty in this
work as I had a bit of the knowledge about it. This is the part which I hated
that the technician just used to put all of the burden on me that as if I don’t
know anything about this part. So, to make me learn they just used to put all
of the burden one me without telling me anything.
Last role was the managing of the accounts for staff and
solving of the password problems. Whenever any error used to occur in the
computer regarding password I was asked to help and in this part I didn’t face
any of the problem here as it was my favorite task and I had enough of the
knowledge about it.
Recommendations of Co-operative training program
I think that the company earns a good amount. No doubt that
they give good package to the staff working there but they could give them more
if we look at their budget. My recommendation here is that they should
encourage the diversity and inclusion to create the workforce of the different
kind of people who can be more empowered towards the company and can contribute
in a positive way for the success of company. This can make customers happy and
satisfied. This will also encourage team work along with this deliverance and
benefit of the company will be good.
Conclusion of Co-operative training program
My work experience was so enjoyable, educative as well as
challenging. Working with this organization helped me to have control on my
temperament and how team works in the given conditions without making any
excuses or delaying the work. I think my personality became smooth and I got
confidence. Now I think I am capable of doing work at any other organization as
well because I have enough of the knowledge now which I have gained from
Ebbtikar Technology Company. Whenever I will get the chance I would not think
for a second because I miss working there and with the people who were very
supportive.
In the end I would like to add in my report that there are
many of the decisions that are effected by the environment in which people are
in it. I wish that upon my graduation I would start an organization where I can
offer many of the different and diverse solutions for the problems. My main
target is to make people comfort and give them as much knowledge as much I can.
I would use the experience in my company which I gained from the Ebbtikar
Technology Company.
I see myself after 3 to 5 years in the future that I would
not be working for others of any of the other organization but for my own. I
see myself as a manger of my company. Commonly it is being said that if your
business is not capable of solving any of the problem then one should think
about another business and this is the only reason why I think that I for sure
build a company that will definitely offer the solution to the problems of the
people. At the end, my experience in working with the company helped me grow
mentally as well as emotionally.
