Interview questions for a job in Saudi Arabia

I am currently doing my last Co-op (Third one) in company (Al-Sarheed Contracting EST) in Saud Arabia, Riyadh.

This company is engaged in transportation and general trading.

My job title: Lead Management and Virtual Sales Department

My duties:

Make connection channels between the employees and the management.

Encourage employees to provide great services to customers and make sure the customer is satisfied with the service.

Build information systems that helps to make appropriate decisions and allow employees to use these information when needed.

Make plans for what the market needs.

Make strategic goals for the sales to achieve the profits.

Trying to keep the prices with making sure the quality stay as high as possible.

Learning objectives:

Evaluation is required. In the end of every team work, my leader asked me to evaluate my peer's work and to provide feedback.

My analyzing skills have been enhanced by finding the problems and solutions.

My planning skills have been developed because my main job is to make plans for market needs.

Writing skills are important because I have to write a report weekly to my manager.

My understanding of business concepts have been developed via working with teamwork.

What area of my field of study am I most interested in?

The most important area of my field of study that I am interested in is to work with my team in order to learn new skills constantly.

What technical skills do I want to learn during this work term? Please be as specific as you can.

I really want to learn one of the most useful technical skill which is how to get along with a strict team leader. The other technical skill that I want to learn is how to grab all team members' attention.

 What soft, or interpersonal, skills do I want to work on? (team work, leadership, listening, accepting constructive criticism, etc.).

I would like to work on team work and leadership skills because these skills would help me to be proposed for the team's leader.

 What employ ability skills do I want to strengthen? (networking, self-confidence, email/office etiquette, etc.)

I really need to work on self-confidence because sometimes I hesitate when I stand in front of my colleagues and present some concepts to them.

What strength areas can I further improve? (Programming languages, manual drafting, surveying, rigging, report writing, etc.)

I can enhance my programming language skills.

How will I know if I am contributing to the organization?

I will know that I am contributing if I achieve the organization's targets.

What areas in the industry would I like to learn more about (HR, Sustainable Design, Hotel Management, SAP, AutoCAD, Project Management, Agile Development, etc.)

I would like to learn more about SAP, Project Management and HR.

What do you think your strengths are for this work place? Can you please provide an example of demonstrating this strength?

I think my best strength area that I gained from my job is to make strategic goals for sales to achieve the profits. One of my strategic planes was to send surveys to customers because the demand for our services was decreasing. Once I received surveys back and reviewed them with my manager, we figured out the problem.

What is your biggest area for improvement? How do you plan on working on this challenge?

My biggest area for improvement is to work with teams because every member of the group would learn something new from each other. I plan to work on the teamwork by encouraging myself and the group members to participate. Also, I review all the information which I may need it in the meeting.

Please re-read your learning objectives you completed in an earlier assignment. What objectives are you on track to meet, and which ones require more attention? Please include a few thoughts on how you will start, or continue, to meet your goals.

I have mentioned five objectives. I am on the right track to meet three of objectives. However, there are two of them require more attention. Analyzing is one of the most important parts that have to be done before planning. Therefore, I have to pay more attention to analyzing skills. Planning skills is the second objective that needs some work. Planning is required everywhere in business.

Do you have any comments/questions regarding your co-op work experience?

I would say that co-op gave me a good opportunity to know how the work environment looks like. Moreover, I have acquired a great experience that would assist me in my future job.
