This story is all about the men’s climbing at the Himalayas
and this story ran to the ethical dilemma due to an uncertainty. This group
doesn’t make by few men it was founded by the several men’s of different
regions and they also belong to different cultures. When the group of these men
are climbing on the mountain they have found an Indian man who was near to
death. They have faced the ethical dilemma when they have forced to taking the
decision about the backtrack from down the mountain for saving the life of that
Indian man and they will go for it than they can never achieve their goal of
mountain climbing. They have thought to ignoring about the saving his life. At
last the needs of the desperate man was ignored by them for fulfilling their
own desire. This situation of ethical dilemma describes the men’s were acted
through the thoughts of their social contract and egoism (McCoy, 1997 ).
What was the group’s responsibility in this situation?
The group’s responsibility in this situation was to saving
the life of the Indian man because the human life is very important than other
works. No any goal consider reliable and important than the human life. The
ethics of all culture addressed a lot for saving the human life. Human life is
very important. The individuals must be adopt to the group ethics for reaching
their goals which doesn’t mean to leave the person for dying as Sadhu. To
saving the life human beings must be the part of the goals and it must be
consider as most important part of the goals. Because the rules are always
makes for the human being, human beings are not for the rules.
Was there a leader?
If so, who? If not, why not?
Yes there was the leader of the group who was named as Sherpa
sirdar. Sherpa Sirdar was playing a role their; leader at this journey of the
adventure climbing and he cannot do something special for Sidhu but when he
found some of his member of his group getting sick during this adventurous
journey he was worried about them. The Sherpa had tried a lot to saving the
life is Sidhu for this purpose he carried him down to the sun as well as pointed
him toward the hut out the easy trail. Shirpa Sirdar was playing the good role
of the leader (CIULLA, 2013.)
How might this parable apply to organizations?
The case study examines the different pedagogic model which
is suggested by the broad used of the context and it also have finned the rules
according to the predominated and directed. These both approaches are valuable
for the organization. This case study
have good lesson for the organization which leads toward the, organization’s
must be take care of their employees. There is lot points which is covered in
the parable of the Sidhu and these are related to the ethical world. The
parable of the Sidhu can also be regarding to the ethics of the corporate. This
essay refers a lot of ethical dilemmas such as group ethic vs. Individual ethics as well as it also related
to applying the rules of the ethical worlds (McNay, 2013).
What is the difference between organizations that value
individuals and organizations that don't?
The situation which is discussed in the Sidhu Parable it is
not possible for the real world because everyone knew about the importance of
the individual life. Even this type situation is not clearly found in the
organizational world. All the organization have lot values for their individuals.
Furthermore the organization which have no value for their individuals that are
considered as mock organization nobody want work with them.
