The nursing profession involves a lot of activities and performing the duty of a charge nurse is not as easy as it seems. This profession demands full attention and commitment and integrity of the nurse so that the patients or healthcare customers can get the best quality treatment and health-related services. I am going to nominate our charge nurse for the nursing excellence award because she is the one who deserves the award more than any other person. The skills that our charge nurse possess does not possess by any other nurse. The charge nurse has enhanced its skills by attending various seminars, conventions and skill fairs. After enhancing her abilities and skills our charge nurse shares the information with the rest of the staff members so that everyone can learn new skills. The charge nurse has improved its skills with the passage of time, therefore, has improved healthcare facilities in the hospital (McCormack & McCance, 2016).

How the nominee exemplifies collaboration, diversity, and innovation in healthcare.

The best thing about our charge nurse is that she involves all the staff members in the decision making process. She takes the idea from every nurse and then forms a perfect strategy to serve the patients. Making all the staff members’ part of the decision-making process is a very good practice because through this creative ideas are generated which allow the hospital to improve its performance and provide the patients the best healthcare services as possible. The charge nurse possesses effective communication skills along with the leadership qualities which makes her the best nominee for the award (McCormack & McCance, 2016).

How  the  nominee  has  promoted  and  enhanced  the  image  of  nursing  in  the  community  and  the  nursing  profession. 

The nurse has proved herself as the best nurse in the hospital by providing good quality care to her patients. The nurse always helps its staff members whenever they need help. With her skills & expertise she able to handle all the situations efficiently & effectively. In the hospital, she is known for her good personality and skills. She is also renowned in the hospital because of her charity and voluntary works. She possesses a strong personality and attends the patients politely. Many patients have praised the abilities of the nurse and many health care professionals in the hospital believe that our charge nurse has played a major role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of the hospital.

How  this  nurse  impacted  the  staff  and/or  patient  care  they  manage.

The motivation is very important for healthcare professionals. If the healthcare professionals are not going to be motivated than the level of turnover will increase and the hospital will unable to retain the talent health care professionals. The hospitals today need those individuals who are highly talented and possess various skills. Therefore it is important for the hospitals to increase the level of motivation so that talented health care professionals can provide the best quality services. By keeping the above scenario in mind I can proudly say that our charge nurse motivates all the staff members and help them whenever they need. She plays the role of a role model for the other nurses (McCormack & McCance, 2016).

The nurse monitors the efficiency and performance of other nurses and guides them if she feels that the other nurses are not performing their activities accurately. The qualities and abilities that the nurse possesses are enough to make her a good health care professional. She deserves to receive the nursing excellence award more than anyone else.
