Many leadership skills are demonstrated by me even in my
personality during my curriculum and in my academic reports. By nature every
individual have few skills in their personality to commanding the other
individuals to helping them and to providing the guidelines. During my studies
in this college I have demonstrated leadership because my friends are always
got my help to taking g few decisions in their studies even in their little
personal matter.
I have known about when my professors had told me there are several
leadership skills, styles, and approaches. During my academic carrier, I have joined
the Union committee of the college and later I have selected as the leader of
this committee because I have lot of attributes to executing the various plans
of this committee. I have tried to find out attributes of the leadership in my
personality and the finding out approaches of the leadership to which I am
following. There is two approaches of the leadership which are little match
with my personalities.
Trait approach and situational approach are the approaches
which I have founded in my personality. Trait approach is considered as the first
major approach of the leadership. This approach is best suited to my leadership
styles because a series of mental, physical and personality traits are looked
under this approach which possessed in the effective leaders and non-effective
leaders even non leaders.
The trait approach has various characteristics which are
similar to the characteristics of my personality these characteristics and
qualities are Creativity, Originality, Assertiveness, adaptability Diplomacy, Emotional
Balance, Dominance, Enthusiasm Objective, Tough-mindedness Extroversion Independence,
Nonconformity Strength of Conviction. These all are the characteristics of the
trait approach of the leadership and it is similar to my personality.
Another approach of the leadership is situational approach
which is similar to my personality and the situational approach is considered
as the new approach for leadership and this approach leadership towards the contingent
on a variety to situational factors. These situational factors can be commitment,
interactions, leader relationships, follower motivation and task to be completed.
There are various leadership theorists
which are falling in both of these approaches (Books Lard bucket Org, 2018).
To answering the question and discussing the different traits
according to personality it necessary to describing the leadership “Basically lairdship
is known as the various function to knowing about yourself, to having clear
vision which must communicated in a well manner, Try building trust between the
colleagues and suggesting various actions for realizing the leadership potential”.
The trait approach of the leadership is addressing about the adaptability and
an adjustment which is most related to the democratic leadership styles.
I have improved my skills to considering important to the
views of all individual to taking decision in about any problem. The suggestion
of all individuals has their own worth because democratic leader rely on the
decision of all individuals of the group or even organization. I discuss my
problems with my colleagues and take their decision to solving any problems and
then chose one of these suggestions which are provided from my colleagues. I have good way of communication and this is
my strength which encourage me towards the different ways and styles of the
leadership, I have strong difficulty level I try to understand the problem of the
people in clear way that resolve this according smart and effective way deciding
about something. My all team members are liked me just because of the good way communication
and the communication is good extent which encourage my effective potential leader (Webster, 2018).
To measuring the progress of the leadership is too tough
because leadership can be measured by the various qualities and it can be
measure by the suggestion of the other individuals. But there is not numeric
standard to measuring about the progress of the leadership but the results of
the activity or project is the best and effective to measure the progress of
the leadership. I have selected third
time as leader of this committee that’s why this progress has decided about my potentials
for the leadership. In future I will try to ignore all the mistakes which are occurs
at the time of decision making for the various activities of the committee. I will follow the rules and regulations which
are assigned from the organization (Zetlin, 2018).
My personal leadership philosophy is always focusing on the
several thoughts of the leadership and follows the various definition of the
leadership. As it is described by the Warren Benin’s “Leadership is the
capacity to translate vision into reality” and definition of Ralph Nadar` is
the one best definition according to my leadership philosophy because I always focus
to producing more leaders rather than the followers and the definition Ralph
Nadar is also addressing about this as “The function of leadership is to
produce more leaders, not more followers” democratic leadership theories always
influencing on my thinking and personality because, I always believe on the democratic
decision and Steve jobs is one of the my favorite leaders and he always follows
the democratic leadership theory and I also like this by taking his decision it
the account of my inspiration (Gray, 2018).
I have learned a lot of thing about the leadership styles
theories approaches and skills using this semester of my study and I have
performed a lot of project to I have lead as democratic leader even I was leader of the Un ion committee of the
students at my college. I have good way of communication and humble attribute
to understanding and resolving the matters of the students of the college during
the post of the leader of the committee. My beliefs and values for the
leadership are always talks about the encouraging the followers to working
smart and performing their task in efficient ways.
Sometime to taking help, I discuss my problems with my higher
authority even my teacher because discussion is always considered as excellent strategy
for my which is used for enhancing the motivation of the students and it is also
used to fostering the intellectual agility and the major purpose of the
discussion is encouraging the democratic habits. The way of the leadership of
the students create vast opportunity for the student to practicing the sharpen
numbers of skills and it also includes the ability of defending the position
and articulation.
There is lot of the leadership lesson which I have learned
from this class but three of them can be described as the facts will set you
free, Encouraging the employees to
enhancing their performance level and celebrating the transparency. In the first lesson the leaders can add the
value by producing the tangible results and leaders always relies on the output
of the task. I f they have got the good output and tangible results it doesn’t
matter how they have performed his task. This lesson of the leadership skills
leads toward the charismatic leadership theory. Meanwhile other two lessons
are leading toward the democratic leadership theory and I have enjoyed al lot
these all lesson and these are consider by me effective ways to guiding someone (Goldsmith, 2016).
