Information
technology is a modern phenomenon in the modern world with a history of just
two decades in the present world. Earlier it was not part and particle of our
day to day affairs so far. People residing in the Third World countries were
not aware of the use of information technology even till the year 2000.
Public
administration was done in a simple version of dealing with administration in a
traditional mode so far. So these days the emergence of information technology
is benefiting all and sundry in all across the world. Now the public administration
is dealt widely with the prior use of information technology in it. For
instance, the national identity cards database is being managed in almost all
the countries of the world through information technology. The identity of the
person is no more a big deal to be identified with a single click of button on
computers (K. C. Laudon, 1998).
Driving
licenses, passports, insurance policies, bank accounts, ATM cards are all
directly linked with information technology. These cards normally do have code
numbers with them. Through all these documents and cards an individual is
directly benefited and secured from forgery issues.
So,
the individual is now well-secured and tension-free in today’s scenario. The
straight forward persons do have tension free lives now a day. We can easily
say that information technology has made all of them safe and sound as
respectable citizens of their respective countries. In a way IT is promoting
the rights of people with playing its role in policy-making process so far.
The
database of any disease, virus, birth-rates, death –rates, surveys of all kinds
whether economic, political or social are conducted through the prior use of
information technology. End of the day,
people are promoted and their rights are being secured through the massive
usage of information technology.
The
traffic signals in most of the countries are now no more manually operated at
all. But they are all mostly operated through IT technology which is a healthy
sign for all the societies and countries. Nobody can avoid the usage of
information technology even in these matters. Now the ones who have actually
violated the traffic rules cannot save themselves from heavy fines anymore.
Whereas the law-abiding persons with a prior traffic knowledge would be
enjoying tension free lives as they are well-aware that they have not violated
any of the traffic rules and would not be enforced with any fine at all. So the
information technology secures them in all means. That is why, we can easily
say that information technology is promoting and equally benefiting the people
belonging to different classes of society who were once exploited by the Pre-IT
manual system enforced in the societies. All of those persons are now
supporting IT to its full (Dutta, Geiger, & Lanvin, 2015).

year 98 and 2005 shows the results generated through the use of information
technology in the public sector which benefited the people to its full.
