Discussion on The Lost Temples of India

There are so many temples in India, which are part of the history, and some of these temples were even built 1000 years ago. These temples are intriguing and amazing in so many ways for the tourists, if they visit them, but many of these temples are not visited by the tourists. Some of these structures are so large that one cannot believe how these were built so many decades ago. It is said that trained elephants were used at that time for dragging stone blocks so that such large structures could be built. Some of these structures are extremely large such as RajaRaja’s temple. These temples became larger and larger with the passage of time and one of these temples is so large that almost 200 Taj Mahal’s could easily fit into this temple.

            India is a place, where people have so many Gods, and to show their love for their faith, such large temples were built like we have heard about pyramids of Egypt. There are many villages, where people perform different kind of rituals and believe that if these rituals are done properly, it can be good for them as God will favor them. The RajaRaja’s temple is one of the largest made with the most strong stones. It is important to mention here that most of these largest temples are found in the Southern parts of India. These temples are built with so much beauty of sculpture, but fact of the matter is that these temples are virtually unknown, and Western tourists do not know about these amazing temples. I am amazed to see these lost temples of India and also wondering why such large and wonderful temples have been missed by the tourists.
