Narrative Essay

The life comes with so many events as few of them can be sad, but there are events, which are humorous as well. It means that life is full of so many events with mix of emotions. When I look at my life, I can say that I was involved in many events, which can be considered humorous. However, it depends on personal perspective that how we think about certain things in life. A situation or event may be considered humorous for one person, can be interesting for the other, or there maybe someone, who take that incident to be a serious one. But fact of the matter is that we do involve in events, where situations can be interesting as well as humorous. I am going to narrate one of such events from school days. It may be not as funny as a reader may think, but I see it as a humorous event from school days.

I remember that one day; our family was planning to go out on weekend to enjoy a day outside in a family park or such destination, where we can enjoy sometime together. Now, I had to attend my school that day too, and if I had to go to school, the half day would be already gone, when I might have returned back. So, I asked my father that please allows me to leave my school for that day so that we can enjoy the full day together, as it was early days of my new class, so I told my father that there was nothing important to be missed. Thankfully, my father agreed, but now question was? What to say to my school teacher that why I would be absent for today. My father wrote a leave application, which stated that I was not feeling well, so leave should be granted for today. My father submitted the leave application to my school, and when he came back, we got ready for the picnic day to a nearby family park. I was so happy that we are going to enjoy a day out rather going to attend my school. We packed and arranged everything that we may need and left off.

 It was bright sunny day with few clouds around and cool breeze was blowing to make weather more charming. I really started enjoying my day, and we had lot of fun together. Everything was going fine, but then situation took a twist, and I was playing foot ball with other children in the park, and suddenly saw that my school teacher was coming towards me. I was feeling so nervous inside that what would I reply to my teacher as today I submitted my leave application that I was sick, so can’t attend my school, and now I am here enjoying my time in a park. Meanwhile my father also saw that my teacher was approaching me, when he came to me, my father also reached there. We met and then my teacher asked my father that you submitted leave application that your son is feeling sick, whereas he is enjoying here at park. My father stood firm and replied to my teacher that he was not feeling well at home, so I took him to the Doctor, and when we were going back home, I thought that it would be good for him to go out, feel fresh and get well rather laying on bed for more days feeling sick all the time. Thankfully, my teacher agreed with the justification and said that it is certainly good thing to do; a child may get well soon, if he gets good positive energy from around. This situation is humorous in my view, because my father and me were on the verge of facing an embarrassment that I was not looking sick, and caught red handed by my teacher. But thankfully, he could not catch us, and we avoided any bad comments from teacher. It did not look a funny situation at that time but now whenever I remember this incident, I smile that how we got away from big embarrassment.
