Obesity
means the excessive amount of fat in your body. Obesity is one of the chronic
diseases because your body has excess amount of fat that is not necessary for
you and has excessive amount of carbohydrates and nutrients and anything that
exceeds the requirements leads to problems. When the weight of the person is
not equal to the required weight they should have then you are obese, the
weight should be according to your height. Some people cannot avoid obesity and
they do not understand the consequences until the obesity leads them to some
serious health conditions. Obesity has now become one of the major problems in
the world and serious health issues occur due to this. It has now become a
deadly disease in many countries. In the USA the amount of the obese people has
increased day by day. According to a research in 2015, almost around 40% of the
people in U.S are obese with serious health conditions. There are many causes
of obesity and hence its impacts are really negative for the people facing this
disease.
The
causes of obesity depends on many factors. Some of the causes of obesity
include: one of the major cause of obesity is physical in activity. Most of the
people do not have any physical activities now a days, most of the children’s
waste their time on screen by sitting in one place, they do not have any habits
of doing any exercises nor they have any interest, moreover the children are
burdened with daily homework that keeps them intact in their homes and they
cannot go out do play, same is the case with the adults they have been so busy
in their jobs and in the household management that they do not find any time to
do any exercises or any walk.
Another
cause of obesity is overeating, most of the children and adults nowadays like
to eat more and more fast food and oily things and junk food, these food
attractions make them to eat more and more and try different and new food items
every time. These attractions of the food leads them to overeating and this is
one of the cause of the obesity, because the junk food and the fast food has
much fat content and oil in it that leads to obesity.
Family
lifestyle also matters a lot when it comes to obesity, because some families
are fond of eating and trying different and unique dishes every time, eating
has become a trend in their families and they eat in every little occasion,
they celebrate every occasion by hanging out somewhere, having dinners and
lunch, arranging barbeques every time, going to fast food restaurants on a
daily basis, these family lifestyles and trends also leads to obesity.
Nowadays
there are many health problems and people frequently visits the hospitals and
to the doctors, and take medications, but medications also lead to obesity,
because some medicines might have effect on your metabolism and increase your
hunger, this causes the person to eat more and in this way he gains extra
weight. Some medicines effect your metabolism in such a way that burns the
calories in your bodies at much slower rate, not at the rate at which your body
burns the fat normally. This also leads to obesity when your calories are not
burned properly at a faster rate they began to store in your body and the
result is obesity. Some medicines stores and absorbs different nutrients and
sugar in your body that also leads to obesity and also some medicines react
with your bodies and you become allergic and this can lead to obesity. So,
medicines are also the cause of obesity.
There
are some diseases as well that also might lead to obesity, these diseases
include Polystic ovary syndrome, hypothyroidism, Cushing’s syndrome and insulin
resistance, these are the disease that also leads to obesity.
Some
people might have some genetics and hormonal problems, because some genes might
have the effect on your body metabolism and they can affect the amount of food
that a body can store.
Also,
some social, economic and financial issues lead to depression and anxiety and
the person wants to eat more and more to overcome with this anxiety problem or
to cope up with depression, this also leads to obesity.
These are the
causes of obesity; obesity has many causes but these are some of the major
cause of obesity.
Obesity
leads to any problems and have many negative impacts. The death rate has increased
all over the world due to the problems that are raised by obesity. Some of the
negative impacts of obesity on the health of the people include: High Blood
Pressure also called hypertension is one of the problem that occurs with
obesity. And one of the study that was conducted in Norwegian city depicts that
hypertension is more common in the obese women than in the obese men.
Another
problem that occurs due to the obesity is High Cholesterol, this disease occurs
because the children and the adult are eating high cholesterol, and oily fast
food on a daily basis.
Heart
attack is also one of the leading cause due to obesity, because eating high
cholesterol food increase your heart beat and develop the coronary artery
disease and the persons who survive the first heart attack, the obesity
increase the chances of the second heart attack. So obesity is much dangerous
disease.
Obesity
also leads to different types of cancer. Obesity increase the risk of Colon
cancer in both the genders, it increases the risk of cancer of rectum and the
cancer of prostate in the men, In women the risk of the cancer of gallbladder
and the cancer of uterus. Obesity also
leads to Breast cancer.
Obesity
leads to Osteoarthritis, the degenerative arthritis of the hips, the knees and
the lower back.
It
leads to the pulmonary diseases which includes the abnormal function of the
body, Obstructive sleep apnea and the hypoventilation syndrome.
Obesity
also leads to hair fall because the amount of carbohydrates, nutrients and
other fats have increased in our body and the excess amount of anything leads
to destruction, the hair are getting the excessive amount pf everything that
the hair cannot support and eventually the hairs start to fall.
Obesity
also leads to insomnia, depression and anxiety. The more obese people depend on
the help of the people, so they feel helplessness, isolation, lack of
motivation, Negative Self-worth and the self-consciousness because obesity
leads to many social problems, the people make fun of you and these factors
then leads you to depression and anxiety and all of the above factors.
Therefore
there are some causes of obesity, some are natural causes but other causes are
due to the human mistakes and negligence. But these causes of obesity has
occurred some serious health conditions in many of the people.
So we have seen
that obesity has negative effects on the people and their health and many
people are facing some serious health problems. But we have to take a step, to
eradicate the effects of obesity on the health of the people because we have to
take some measures. The measure to control the obesity includes: the people
must eat healthy fruits, nuts and the whole grain and healthy food. We should
promote to do exercise and go to the gyms, because daily exercising will lead
to a healthy body and healthy body leads to a healthy mind and the people will
work more efficiently. The use of fast food should be cut down in different
countries or we should introduce the fast food with more healthy items. Introduce
vegetable oil in the restaurants rather than animal based fats. Family eating
habits and trends should be changed and they should focus on being heathier
rather than focusing on eating foods with high fats, they can eat food with
health alternatives. Be a role model for other people, start eating healthy
food and exercising daily, inspire people either your health or fitness.
Develop eating habits in your child, ask them
eat slowly and make them indulge in some physical activities. Avoid the use of
processed food prepare fresh food at home with fresh items. Limit the intake of
frizzy rinks because they add more sugar in your body. Drink more and more
water this will regulate your metabolism and will increase your food digestion.
Add more proteins in your diet like meat, fish and eggs they will keep your
health and avoid you from being obese. Get enough sleep set a routine for
yourself, because disturbed routine also makes you obese, eat in a proper time and
sleep properly and do exercise in the morning this will keep you healthy and
avoid you from becoming obese. Obesity has caused many problems and has many
negative impacts but we have to find some solution to overcome with the obesity
and keep our self-healthy and fit
