organizes and mobilizes the nation from any kind of terrorist attack. This
strategy needs focused efforts and coordination at the private sector, local

How is HLS strategy related to critical
mission areas?
Ans. HLS strategy is specially related to
terrorist attack and its after-effects. We have enough resources to defeat the
enemy and also secure our land from any kind of threat. Terrorist is the
strategic actors because they are attack where the defense is going weak and no
attention move at that point. For wreaking unprecedented damage to America,
enemies are working on achieving nuclear, radiological, biological and chemical
weapons. So, this strategy is going to work on all these areas to keep protect
all its secrets from the enemy and also keep the people safe and protected from
any kind of threat or attack.

Part 2:
A presentation about the technology initiative by the department of
homeland security:
The homeland security department
has to provide its services and implement its strategies to protect the people
of America and different organizations from any kind of threat and terrorist
attack from our enemies. After the terrorist attack of 9/11, the department of
homeland security has to take many initiatives because the security is to consider
very weak and the terrorist focus on the weak area so the department of the
homeland security has to consider all the weak area and for this purpose, they
have to take some initiatives. One of the major initiatives is information
analysis and infrastructure protection. The department of energy national
infrastructure simulation and analysis center with many other departments going
to converted into DHS's information analysis and infrastructure protection
department. With the FBI and CIA, this department coordinated and share all the
information and intelligence analysis that obtain from the people and different
places. This department is going to charge the weak areas according to the
infrastructure point of view and evaluate the areas that need proper attention
and more effort. A proper budget is specified to maintain and update this
department. (nti.org, 2003)
At this time this department is
also working effectively and control and monitors all the systems and places
according to set rules and regulations. Complete check and balance must be
taken by this department on different places and any type of suspicious
activity and person can be identified in few minutes because the information
technology help to identify and find out for the safety purpose.
