Marry
Barra was born on December 24, 1961. She was born in Royal Oak, Michigan. Her
parents are of Finnish descent. She graduated from a General Motors Institute
which a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineer. She then attended Stanford
Graduate School of Business on a GM fellowship, where received her MS degree in
Business Administration in 1990. She is married to consultant Tony Barra and
they have two children together. She lives in a suburb of Detroit. She started
working for General Motors Company at the mere age of 18. By 2008, she became
the vice president of Global Manufacturing Engineering. She is the current
chair and CEO of General Motors Company (gm.com, n.d.). She has held the
position of CEO since January 15, 2014. She is the first female CEO of a major
global automaker. She succeeded Dan Akerson as the CEO of GM. Before this, she
served as the executive VC of Global Product Development, Purchasing and Supply
Chain at General Motor. “General Motors” is America’s largest automobile maker
and one of the world’s largest as well. In 2018, General Motors was ranked 10th
on the list of 500 fortune companies. She was also elected on the board of
Disney in August 2017. She was listed 2nd on Forbes Most Powerful Women list in
2018 (forbes.com, n.d.).
Robert Allen Iger
Robert
Allen Iger was born on February 10, 1951. He was born to a Jewish family in New
York City. His father was a World War II Navy veteran, who was also a professor
of advertising and public relations. His mother worked at Boardman Junior High
School in Oceanside, New York. He attended Fulton Avenue School and graduated
from Oceanside High School in 1969. He graduated from Ithaca College with a
Bachelor of Sciences degree in Television and Radio with high distinction in
1973. He has been married twice. He has two daughters from his first marriage
and two children from the second one. He began his professional career when he
joined the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) in 1974 where his first job was
performing menial labor. 1989, he became the head of ABC Entertainment. In
1994, he was named the president and chief operating officer of ABC’s corporate
parent, Capital Cities/ABC. In 1996, The Walt Disney Company acquired Capital
Cities/ABC and renamed it ABC, Inc where Iger remained president till 1999. He
became the president and chief operating officer of the Walt Disney Company in
2000. In 2005, he succeeded Micheal Eisner as the CEO of the Walt Disney
Company. He will step down as the CEO in 2021 (Whitten, 2019). The Walt Disney
Company is the largest production house and media company in the USA. An iconic
cartoon character Mickey Mouse was created by the Walt Disney Company which
also serves as the company’s official mascot. Disney announced the acquired
Pixar under the leadership of a Robert Allen Iger on 24 January 2006, where he
also has the $7.4 billion for all the stock transactions. For the support of
the institute work, Robert Allen Iger announced the longtime philanthropy and
leadership.

The

task-oriented and the relations oriented. The leadership behavior of Mary
Barra for each of these dimensions is discussed in extensive manners. Mary
Barra is always known as the action-oriented lady when it comes to task-oriented
behaviors because she always focuses and believes to move forward and she
creates paths for her to move forward only. She had confirmed in her interview

Through her entire career Mary Barra’s
achievements have been evident at the General Motors and she is known as the
successful leader while it discusses the growth of the GM and now particularly
she became the CEO of the GM. After the filing of the bankruptcy of the GM, she
saved General Motors due to which the value of the company has been increased. The
unprofitable markets are reduced by her efforts. She always focused on hard

Allen Iger is well-known personality in the list of leaders and he is so

leadership theory because he likes to work with his employees and he performed
as good pears while he has to discuss something with his employees. As before becoming
Disney’s CEO his disciplined has used as a predecessor. He follows the “factory-like”
process in order to produce films in effective manners. He motivates and encourages
the team of the business developments that have come up with innovative ideas
and then it has been handed over to the directors of the company. This process
is rearranged by the Iger by placing particular faith for his directors. He
makes a good struggle for enabling them in order to propose original ideas.
At
the inspiring creativity of Disney, Iger isn’t the only leader. The subsidiary
of the Disneys gas two worlds finest innovative leaders in Ed Catmull and John Lasseter.
Iger is one of those who has performed in effective manners to run the business
of Disney on a successful path. He has supervised the 12 most successful animated
films in which one of them has won Oscar awards in 2016. Iger performs
according to the transformational leadership styles and he is the
transformational leader at Disney because he is a person who encourages the

likes to discuss matters with their juniors and seniors. He prefers the decisions
of the majority. Iger is the individual who animates and motivates devotees to
accomplish unprecedented results of the Disney. He always focuses on the worry
and formative needs of his employees while staying and working at Disney's. He
always works for change supporters' consciousness of issues by helping them to
take a gander at old issues recently and they can stimulate, energize and
motivate his employees and juniors to put out additional push in order to attain the bunch objectives.
