The theme that is presented in this video is
persuasive. The reason is that the speaker is giving a proper demonstration of
racism in the USA. The speaker is involved in demonstrating proper facts about
the black and white people of that country. In some parts of the video, the
speaker was also using an augmented theme when other speakers are raising
questions on in-equality for the black people. The speaker is giving proper
information about the situation with the black people, then according to this
information, the people were rising some important questions related to this
problem.
What were the themes presented in the video clips you
watched? How did the individual make sense of their own racial identity in
relation to their other identities?
In that video, the individual is raising some
important questions related to equality with the black people. In America, it
can be noted that black people are always suffered due to the cruelty of white
people. In that country, black people are not giving proper rights. This is the
reason why some black people may choose crime and harm other peoples. On the
basis of such action during the video, the individuals were rising a lot of
questions. By asking such questions from the speaker they are able to know what
kind of steps they have to take to resolve the issue of these persons.
What or how have you felt growing up or living
in the United States as a
From the past, it can be seen that the government and
people are not giving proper rights to black people. Due to this these people
are always facing a lot of problems and unable to stand up and fight for their
rights. From the growing age, these people are not given proper rights and kept
separated from white people. The government of this country is just promoting
racism in their country. Due to this, they were always suffered from growing
age.
What have you experienced or felt about race
and racism in the U.S.?
I have experienced racism many times in my life. I
have seen many movies that were based on racism and promoting it in that
country. Their government is not doing anything positive for the betterment of
their future. Due to this, they faced a lot of trouble and unable to fulfill
their demands in an effective way. In police stations, there is police
brutality at the peak, and the black persons are affected badly. This condition
was not acceptable to me and I felt extremely bad about these actions by the
police members. This action also put a bad image on the other mind and people
were not satisfied with the government.
What messages did you get about your racial
group? What messages did you get about other groups?
I have received many
messages from the racial group and the other group. The racial group was
extremely positive for white people. They said that we have no trouble from the
white people we just want peace. We just wanted to change our bad image.
Through this many problems can be solved easily. The message from the other group was really
contradicted. They seem extremely terrified of the black people and also don't
wanted to hurt them because of humanity. In them, there are also some people
that are kind and some are also cruel but it is unfair if the government
treated all of them like the same.
What
other social identity groups do you belong to? (i.e. gender, class,
ethno-religious identity)?
I belong to the white Christian group and living in the
USA. I am male and belong to the middle class of the country. It is not the
matter what class do you belong it is just about humanity. I would say that if
white people were treated worse then it is also not a good action from the
higher authorities. I every citizen of this country is treated with equality
then there will be complete peace. This can be done by the government that they
must have to take positive actions to resolve these problems from their
country. Just in case the government has to give proper rights to every
citizen.
How
has your racial identity intersected with your other identities? How have you
made sense of your race in relation to class or gender or sexuality?
According to the given scenario in the video, I have a
sense of my race-related to my class and gender. I would say that race doesn't
define your personality it's your actions. There are some black people in the
world that are showing noble behavior with white people. On the other hand,
there are also some white people that have evil minds and hurting different
people. Therefore, it is not a matter of race only. The main thing is that your
personality. I would say that we just have to judge the people on the basis of
their nature and personality not according to their race.
