Cybercrime
could be explained as a computer-oriented crime, so no doubt that cybercrime is
a threat to network security. Cybercrime involves the computer and a network
and there could be intentions or offenses that are committed against groups of
individuals so that they could intentionally harm. Network security could be
explained as preventing and protecting techniques that are followed to protect
the clients from the cybercrimes. However, in the modern world, cyber crimes are
done by hackers that can destroy the protection of network security (Gragido & Pirc, 2011).
There
is the individual's criminal motive to harm the reputation of the victim so
that h/she face issues related to physical or mental, financial harm. While
using the modern telecommunication networks this act is done, for example
through the Internet. Cybercrime is harming the nation's security and can
destroy the financial health of the people. There is a high-profile surrounding
hacking example, there could issue relate to child grooming, copyright
infringement, unwarranted mass-surveillance, child pornography, sextortion,
etc.
People
may get harm psychologically and physically; there are several types of
Cybercrime which can be threat to security example, Cyberterrorism that can be
committed all the way through the use of cyberspace, Cyberextortion that can be
done with the use of website, e-mail server, or computer system, Cyberwarfare,
Drug trafficking, however, these attacks can be done by malicious hackers etc. (Christiansen, Bryan, Piekarz, & Agnieszka, 2018)
