Causes
and effect of smoking
The
topic of our discussion is the causes and
effect of smoking. Smoking is also a type
of drug and its effect change from person to person. Smoking is very bad for
human health. The effect of these things includes
the person, weight, health as well as their size, as the person is addicted to
it. As with any drug, the effect of tobacco depending
on the quantity of taken. Every year approximately 15000 deaths are due to the
use of tobacco in Australia. The three-quarter of a million-hospital bed is filled with that patient who used tobacco in
2004-2005. There is always some risk in using any
drug even though unwanted side effects also produce by medications. There is no
safe level of tobacco use. When taking any drug,
it is important to be careful.
As we know that tobacco is dangerous for health.
In any tobacco products, there is no safe substance, from tar and acetone to nicotine
as well as carbon monoxide. Smoking doesn’t affect only on your lungs, but it affects
your complete body. In the body a variety of ongoing complication lead by the
smoking, and on your body system, it affects in the
long term. Therefore, over several years many problems are occurring due
to smoking, some reaction is immediate, and
some develops with time. Smoking is very
harmful to our health. No safe way of
smoke is present. If you replace your cigarette with a pipe, Hookah as well as cigar this thing won’t help you in avoiding
the risk of health (Alston, 2015).
Six hundred
ingredients found in cigarettes, in cigars and Hookah many ingredients are the same. According to the American Lung
Association when these ingredients burn than different types of chemicals
generated approximately 7000. Sixty-nine
of them directly linked to cancer many of
those chemicals are poisonous. The mortality
rate for smokers in the United States is
three times of that person who never
smoked. In the United States, smoking is
the common reason for death according to the CDC (Center for Disease Control). But
quitting the smoking, many effects can
reverse this is good news for the people.
Each year smoking causes more deaths. Here we depicted some combined causes:
Use of an illegal
drug
Use of Alcohol
Incidents related to Firearm
Injuries motor vehicles
HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus)
From
cigarette smoking, as many U.S citizens, more than ten times have died prematurely. Each year more women die from lung
cancer instead of breast cancer. 90%
cause of death is lung cancer in the United
States. From chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,
80 % of smoking was caused by all death. From
all causes in men as well as death cigarette smoking increases the risk of
death. In the U.S. over the last 50 years has increased the risk of dying from
cigarette smoking.
To
develop stroke, heart disease, as well as lung cancer smokers are more likely
than nonsmokers. The following show the
estimation of smoking risk:
By 2 to 4 times for coronary heart disease
By 2 to 4 times for stroke
By 25 times men developing lung cancer
By 25.7 times lung cancer enlarge in women
Overall
health diminished because of smoking, from work increased absenteeism, as well
as increased cost and utilization of health care. For diseases, smokers are at a greater risk which affects the blood
vessels and heart. Stroke as well as coronary disease heart caused by smoking,
in the United States this is the leading cause of death. Even those people who
smoke less than five cigarettes in a day also the person have earlier chances of
cardiovascular disease (Saha & at.al, 2007) .
The smoking damaged a blood vessel
as well as also makes the vessels thicken along with growing narrower. Because of this your blood pressure increases and
your heartbeat is fast. And form the clots. There are two conditions for stroke occurring:
Blood flow to the part of your brain clots
Around your brain, blood vessels burst.
By
smoking blockage caused also lessen the blood flow to your skin as well as
skin. Almost anywhere in your body smoking can cause cancer.
Cervix
Rectum and colon
Bladder
Acute myeloid leukemia
Ureter and Kidney
Oropharynx
Liver
Larynx
Stomach
Pancreas
In
the United States, one of every three
cancer death would not happen if nobody
smoked. As this is very dangerous for women. Because of this, it is difficult to become pregnant. Before and after the
birth of baby it also affects the health of the baby.
It also increases the risk of:
Stillbirth
Preterm delivery
Infant sudden death syndrome
Birth weight low
In infant’s orofacial cleft
Ectopic pregnancy
Men’s
sperm also affected by smoking because of this fertility reduced as well as
miscarriages rate is also increasing (Atlanta, 2014).
