Personal Statement – Master’s Program Cyber Security and Forensics

 I introduce myself as a young, energetic, and determined person having a bachelor’s degree in computer science. I want to elucidate my academic and career objective by pursuing a master program in Cyber Security and Forensics. My fascination for this course has been from a very early age though not the conscious one. The sweeping changes in the technological world have made the role of Cyber Security and Forensics an indispensable one. Being a part of such a rapidly burgeoning community has been one of my deepest desires. From a very young age, I have been witnessing the growth and development of in computer and technology, and that has been a primary cause of stirring my curiosity in Cyber Security and Forensics. At a sensible age and capable of diving deeper into the depths of this occupation, I traveled together with technologically changing world and got the drive by familiarizing with various fascinating loops of the professional world in cyber security and forensics. Ever since then, my engagement and interest have only grown, and I am steady to pursue Cyber Security and Forensics. I am determined to tackle every hurdle just to achieve this goal. I would like to engage in Cyber Security and Forensics degree for gaining necessary practical experience and diverse academic knowledge to become capable of gradually running an efficient Cyber Security and Forensics lab.

            Having strong skills of system backups, network maintenance, data backup and retrieval, file transfer expertise, computer knowledge, innovative thinking, team building, and system upgrades, etc., I have the potential to become a successful cyber security and forensics expert.

The extensive learning from previous experience distinguishes me. In the first two years, I participated in both genera and prerequisites and then pursued my chosen path. I started pursuing my path to learn more about computer science. My dream turned into reality about learning the computer as I was always interested to learn forensics and cyber security. I learned from regular classes of computer science and information technology that stimulated my interest in this field. Cybersecurity and forensics is an important technology and a vital area that needs maintenance of its quality are as intriguing as it is important.

So you may understand my current goals better. I would like to explain my working experience to this point. I grew up in WJ INGS, Bromley, London where I served as a senior service advisor, I have trained junior service advisors, planned day to day customer job list, and many other things. After gaining a significant knowledge at WJ INGS, Bromley, London, I joined Vodafone, Oxford Circus, London. At Vodafone, Oxford Circus, London, I was placed as a sales advisor; I worked to manage several customer services and administrative tasks to resolve the issues of customers efficiently and effectively. Also, I provide solutions regarding merchandising and pricing. My professional experience has helped me a lot in improving my skills that, I believe, would be very helpful for me as I have plans to establish my cyber security and forensics firms in future.

My transcript comprises of all my courses that I have learned along with the received letter grades during courses. I completed my bachelors in computer science with 2.1 degrees. Meanwhile, I received two more job experiences and currently hold the title of Sales Advisor at Vodafone, Oxford Circus, London. My sincerest desire is to become a cyber-security and forensics expert.

Specifically, I am interested to explore new methods and models to resolve issues by using artificial intelligence. I have learned new methods to debate the working process of machines. The current courses of research provided by my institute enables me to access the solution of machine by using the common sense (as discussed in Hubert Dreyfus's book What Computers Still Can't Do). I am exploring number of areas related to the domains of cyber security and forensics. In a a nutshell, I want to be an active part of this exciting field.

Academically, I am mature enough to put theories into practice and to innovate in immense hurdles. My ability to solve and handle the crisis, time management, and work in team adding aroused my interest in Cyber Security and Forensics when I was in the first year of my bachelor degree, and I started believing that computer science in an application of a systematic and disciplined approach to maintenance and development of the cybersecurity and forensics labs.

Wanting nothing more than just to expand my pools of knowledge concerning computer and technology in Cyber Security and Forensics world, a logical step is participating in Cyber Security and Forensics degree. It will, I know, nourish my existing skills. By completing my intermediate and bachelors, I have built a strong foundation of information technology and computer science. Now, my goal concerns the development of these strengths and utilizing them in running a professional Cyber Security and Forensics firm with various networks. At the University, I will be struggling to perfect my skills. Personally, I believe that I can make a place in the list containing highly skilled students of the [name of the universoty] by using my commitment, dedication, and determination. I wish to involve myself in several groups, societies, and if University allows me, forming a group of University’s elites where they can share their diverse experiences, and well-managed values.

While spending my time at school, I have always thrived on honing my self-motivational and leadership skills. After all, they are very important while partaking in a career related to computer science and information technology. I know my dedication and personal motivation are required to achieve my goals, and I have invested my time in cultivating them. These traits will help me during my time at university. Carrying out different combined and individual projects related to computer science, my skills in collaboration and leadership have improved, and they have given me a chance to improvise better. In terms of technology, Cyber Security and Forensics is a major player, and I would gradually want to be a leader in my forensic firm. I have a strong motivation, and instead of backing away, I move forward to build my aptitudes further which are related to Cyber Security and Forensics. A University is the hub of learning; I wish to learn academically from people I meet and share what I have through my knowledge. In the process, I will further expand my skills and diverse experience.

            Why Cyber Security and Forensics? It is my drive, my motivation, and my passion to reach further and further in the field of computer science and information technology that has pushed me at your threshold. I have strong faith that Cyber Security and Forensics is my lifeline and that is just where I belong to. Even if technological aspects seem challenging at first, I would never back away from understanding concepts of cyber security and forensics. Since childhood, I had a keen interest in information technology, and I have been following the information technology events and conferences. I want to positively contribute to the world of information technology that, I believe, is not possible without gaining a meaningful knowledge and degree in the concerned field. Cyber Security and Forensics are two of the most complicated fields in information technology, and various sectors of the country depend on these Cyber Security and Forensics, especially police and intelligence sector revolves around Cyber Security and Forensics. Having a master degree in Cyber Security and Forensics is nothing less than an honor.
