Statement of Purpose of the higher education

“The higher education is valued as it makes a person aware of what he was, what he is and also a deep insight to investigate what he will be”. The knowledge which is acquired in the schools as well as the colleges is not the education in true sense. Rather it serves as the basis for higher studies in order to provide the directions for achieving the future goals and objectives.

Based on my life aims and objectives, I intend to complete my higher education in the mechanical and industrial engineering. This degree will help me to excel in the field of material sciences, thermodynamics, heat transfer, manufacturing processes, fluid dynamics, mechanical & structural design, instruments & controls, Kinematics & dynamics of machinery along with the advanced computer programming. I intend to excel in the above said domain as much as I can because it will help me to understand the real-world of the engineering. Also, I will be able to apply the concepts and the theories, being learnt at the University, to the real world. It will help me to strengthen my skills and the expertise in the field of engineering. Also, the good oral & the written communication skills, being learnt at the University, will better help me to excel in the practical life. For the said purpose, the liberal arts and the humanities are the significant subjects. They will better help to compete in the industry.

My life has been revolving around "Engineers", since childhood. My Father has been in the Mechanical Engineers field for as long as I can remember. This is the reason that made me to have different and more exceptional thinking towards everything in life. He served to be my role model and always encouraged me to think out-of-the-box. As a result of this family culture, I always enjoyed learning about the intricate specifications of a car or a mobile phone. I always possessed a different thought process as compared to my fellow classmates. When I was young, I found that where my friends enjoyed watching marvel movies for the action of their admired superheroes, I was one of the very few who did not get fascinated by that. I was rather fascinated by the small elements of science in these movies. Based on these habits, I was always marked different from the other students in my class.

I still remember my first day at school when my parents left me to the school, with my eyes full of tears, saying good-bye to me. I had to survive in that alien environment. We were provided with the familiar objects and asked to draw the pictures. My teacher recited the rhymes in her pleasant voice, which made me to love my school. I was blessed with such a good and soothing environment for my early education. By the time, as I grew, my abilities and interests were more inclined towards the physical nature of the universe. The science and the mathematics subjects were so interesting that they helped me to unhide many a mystery. It gave me the joy and the real-internal happiness.

I graduated with a distinction in Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s degree from BITS Pilani-Dubai campus in 2017. The initial years of my career were marked with numerous professional undertakings in the engineering field. To mention some of the most remarkable ones, I worked as an intern at Energy Automation DMCC-Dubai in 2015, attended a Service Engineer training program at Ford Al Tayer Motors-Dubai in 2016 and, was a Technician Trainee at Emirates Engine Maintenance Center-Dubai in 2016. Currently, I'm working as a production engineer in the specialty of operations, inventory, and procurement at KHK Scaffolding & Formwork LLC in Ajman, UAE. In my entire work life, I have always paid close attention to the adoption of the best and ethical practices from all over the world as well as the development of methods, tools, and reports that helped companies and professionals make informed decisions.

To learn and learn became the key to my life. It was all about my respect for the education along with my tendency towards the applied science, which made me to opt for the science subjects, i.e., chemistry, mathematics and physics in my higher education. My decision regarding making the choice for the Engineering field, is based on my will to learn as well as explore about the fundamentals of Science. Also, the real-world applications of the same are an added part.

Naturally, I do possess the strengths for the creative abilities as well as the strong imagination. These strengths can better be channelized by having a degree in the mechanical and the industrial engineering. My convictions aim at providing me with a mechanical engineering degree. I am interested in subjects like Manufacturing Process, Metal cutting & Machine Tool Engineering, CAD/CAM, Industrial Management, Machine Design, Automotive Engineering, Kinematics & Dynamics of Machines, Control Systems Engineering and Applied Thermodynamics etc. I am sure that after studying these subjects, limitless horizons, in the field of Mechanical Engineering, will be revealed to me.

My undergraduate study has provided me with the richly rewarding experience. It helped me to participate in different industrial training programs. Throughout my life, I remained so keen and curious for learning the new and the advanced things. Especially, the concepts which provide with the unique resultants are instigating for me. My choice for taking admission in the mechanical and industrial engineering relies highly on these resultants. In my life, to pursue the knowledge has been the ultimate goal of my life. To achieve this goal, I have decided to complete my higher education with the degree in mechanical and industrial engineering.

This is the era of IT, where everything needs to be equipped with the latest and advanced technology. In this era, boundaries are fast disappearing, and the greatest challenge tomorrow holds for us is to manage continuity of change. In case I got a chance, I will definitely do as much research work as I can. It will equip me with the concepts and the techniques prevailing in the industry related to the mechanical and industrial engineering fields. This need for exposure instigates me to take admission in a well-known University for mechanical and industrial engineering purposes.

The significant role of computers, being played in the field of engineering, also provides the basis to choose engineering as a field for higher education. The manufacturing procedures also have the usage of the computer systems, i.e., Computer Integrated Manufacturing’ or CIM. It has made me to learn Auto Cad & Pro-E. The more I explored about these domains, the more I have learnt regarding the engineering field. It has developed my interest in the engineering field. Once I am enrolled in the said degree, I will better be able to excel in the specified domain of mechanical and industrial engineering along with the miracles of Computer and Science.

There are several reasons that made Canada be my first choice to undertake my Master's degree. First and foremost, Canada is a developed country with a reputable education system. Moreover, most of the country's institutions of higher learning are ranked among the best globally. Another key compelling factor is the strong economic traditions that prevail in Canada. I also consider myself qualified to undertake my research here as I have adequate experience in self-paced education and research which makes me a resilient and disciplined individual. I’m therefore confident that I will keep to the rules and regulations of the institution, meet all requirements and more importantly, achieve expected results.
