The specific audience of this research paper can be
identified as neighbourhood countries of Somalia and peacekeeping troops. The
purpose of this research paper is to highlight issues of injustice and
brutality in Somalia by the troops and some ruling powers. Research is
specifically focused on the presence of Amisom and Al-Shabaab in this area to spread
threat against the peace and survival of innocent citizens of Somalia. The
message presented by this research paper is for the neighbouring countries to take
participation in the activities and encourage strategies that can resolve the
civil conflicts and problems in Somalia.
Question: 2
What are the writer’s three-five main ideas and how to do
these link and build on each
Writer's three-five main idea is linked and integrated that
create a progressive argument for the readers of this research paper. The first
argument was about the civil war in Somalia in which citizens of Somalia were
looking for refuge save their life. According to the second argument,
Al-Shabaab had close ties to Al Qaeda in the 2000s which overthrown army of
Ethiopia that invaded Somalia. In 2007, Al –Shabaab took the responsibility of
security however they only provided support to political forces that show the
lack of interest taken by private and government organizations in the peace and
security of Somalia.
Question: 3
Are there any sections of the argument that need more
support or clarity?
The writer presented arguments very clearly but at the same
time concisely that does not need more support and clarity for the
understanding of specific audience. As evidence of a poor security system and
injustice write presented arguments with enough detail that later on build a
strong final argument against the forces that has a contribution in the civil
war and current issues of Somalia. However, in my opinion, writer should also
add more details about the negative role played by the Amisom in Somalia
specifically about the losing part of their troops for Somalia in the fight
against terrorism alongside the Somalia National Army.
