Introduction of PHYSICAL AND INFORMATION SECURITY

Information security is not just about securing information from unauthorized access; Information security is basically the practice of preventing unauthorized access to the inspection and modification of the data, which may be in physical or electronic form.  The information may be personal professional, which could be at risk of being hacked. Information security is set of rules and regulations which are used to manage procedures and policies to save the information from digital and non-digital viruses. It is shortly described as infosec. It is responsibility of infosec that it builds the procedures which will protect the information. Several large scale business organizations & employees used to the company& program of infosec. It is also responsible for risk management in the business. This security program is managed by chief information security officer. It is most likely used to protect the information of the business to go in wrong hands. The report is based on the relationship between information security and physical security (B. Bulgurcu, Cavusoglu, & Benbasat, 2010).

The objective of the paper is to determine the significance of information security. The first section of the paper is about the discussion of definition, key terms, concepts and role of information security.
