Plans
have been made by the Russian Airline Aeroflot for linking Cuba and Moscow
through Airbus A350.
Russia
and Cuba always had a close relationship. And Cuba has been a renowned
destination for travelers around the world, especially Moscow. The route will
be operating for five years in a single week. Both Wednesday and Monday will be
skipped. At present, the route is flown through A330-220. In 2020, it will be
replaced by A350. The new aircraft hasn’t been released in the market.
Therefore, it is nothing more than a concept until it begins taking passengers.
Still,
there are some rumors about the business class cabin. For instance, there will
be a Super Diamond seat of B/E Aerospace. The new seat will be indicating that
A350 will be having twenty-eight seats in a configuration of 1-2-1. In addition
to it, there will be a direct aisle for all passengers. They will also get a
screen door if they are lucky enough. Onboard, there will be a premium
economy's three rows and an economy standard 9-across cabin.
At
the moment, the airline has ordered 14 A350 aircraft. It can be said that
originally, it was expected by the airline to have them up and functioning by
the year of 2018. However, inefficient financial outcomes resulted in a delay
in the delivery of A330.
It
is possible that the aircraft will be utilized to New York from Moscow as well.
In addition to it, it will have other possible destinations such as Miami,
Seoul, and Beijing as well. The aircraft will also be used for supplementing
frequency on some renowned direct routes.
Overall,
it can be said that this decision of adopting A330 will benefit the airline and
passengers due to the facilities it will bring with it.
