In the airport terminal, at the
flurry of snow was continuously hitting the large glass pane of the airport.
The gules of cold wind were adding cold temperature in the atmosphere. The old
man, peter was polishing off his third whiskey on the rocks. On the first
fortnight of December, the old man named peter dishevelled, his eyes bloodshot.
Another cold of life flew rapidly even unnoticed with the change in society.
It's been years, no glamour and happiness touched that old swiftly pumping
heart. The feeling of happiness disappeared due to a lot of ups and downs in
life with financial problems of life. The mean-spirited, miserable old man was
sitting in a couch of airport on this frigid Christmas eve. Peter was so
fluttered and glowing with his memories, that he was repeatedly uttering the
same words in his broken voice. He was sobbing violently in his conflict and
uttered: "I will live in the future, as I was in past and present".
Chapter 2:
Remembering childhood memories
Peter was frisked into the waiting area of the airport with semi
head down on the table remembering the old days. The golden days of his life!
As a child, I had practised splendid laugh as a most illustrious laugh but how
swiftly life turned that grey as it is now. The jingles by the church's bells
ringing out and the lustiest peals that I ever heard. Ding, dong, clash, bells,
clang and hammer. Oh, glorious sounds, giving new birth to a heart. The meadows
I loved to walk, fog of winter snowy days, cold, stirring and clear sky in the
night. The day of Christmas piping for the blood in heart, golden sunlight,
sweet fresh air, merry bells, gifts from loved ones in shinny golden papers,
and heavenly golden sky. Overwhelming beauty with fine fellows of that time. Oh
Glorious, Glorious my God. I loved to wait for Santa with them. All they turned
old enough now that it seems decades without them.
Chapter 3: Wondering
about the past and family
It's like remembering the golden
dates of life when I considered myself as the luckiest person of earth and
heaven. When I dressed for a wedding with my sweetheart, Mary and had started
the best days of my life. On a shiny Christmas, forty years back when we had a
baby boy. He was living satisfied with 12-year-old son and wife. That
devastating night, Peter left alone to another state to make money for beloved
girl Mary and son Jesus. Twenty years back he migrated to earn living, to give
beautiful life to his loved ones and then circumstances of life surrounded him.
What a pity!
Chapter 4: Had a
chance to encounter three people
Peter was wondering his life and how swiftly 20 years are
gone without any glimpse of his family. Each year he visits airports to see the
happiness on others face when they go back to hometown. Due to lack of funds,
he was never able to get tickets and go back to visit his loved one. He was
reevaluating his life and dragged in the mid of life when three people suddenly
come to his table. One of them asked him if he is good as he was still sobbing.
The old man said, I am an old man, but I am not dead I am alive my dear friend
I am alive. They all started remembering the old days of Christmas when they
enjoyed a lot.
Chapter 5: Complex
family
One of them said I have rested on
the hillside for 10 years of my life with my parents. One day I considered that
I must move on. Purchased tickets, grabbed aeroplane and came here to make
money. All three people were friends and now they were turned as businessmen.
They had already booked the tickets. Peter discussed old childhood stories with
them about Christmas and how he had beautiful and shiny Christmas before moving
to this state. Now he was alone without family.
Chapter 6: Mean for
money
Peter was mean for money and he
was saving a reasonable amount at the end of each month. He purchased a charity
box and was keeping money save in the box thinking he might be probably able to
get a glimpse of his family. Even in the hard days, he never used this money.
He always had dinner at a cheap cafeteria with warmth in heart to meet his
family. At last, he gathered that much money to have a round trip and to meet
his family. The old man revealed his grieve to three men.
Chapter 7: Old man
pain
When coming to the airport some
boys suddenly appeared, stubbed him and snatched all his money, gifts and
Christmas presents that he purchased for his family. He revealed that at this
time of life he lost all his life savings and earning all in sudden. In the
middle of busy life, it was the saddest accident of his life. In the middle of
the window, he saw some spirits signing happiness towards him and he was
confused about the next step. Either to go back home without any gift, present,
or money to meet his family.
Chapter 8: feelings
of the old man
He was frightened, ambiguous, and sad at the same time. In
modern society, everything was expensive, and he had no money left in pockets
to purchase any gift for his family.
Chapter 9: Classic
collaboration
These three men listened to the
heartbreaking story of the old man and discussed with each other to dig him out
of his sorrow. They collected some money out of their pockets to help the old
man.
Chapter 10: Meaning
of Christmas
The main theme of Christmas is to keep others happy, help
them in their sorrow, and dig out problems from the life of others. Spread
happiness on Christmas, Mary Christmas!
