I am writing this
letter as a formal waiver request for entrance ERG exam as the admission
requirements’ part for graduate school. I have been interested in pursuing MBA
degree at Robert H. Smith School of Business since I have plans to start my own
business, and I want to be able to resume my education through an online MBA
program that the institute is offering. The aim of requesting this waiver is
not the feeling of being prepared adequately to demonstrate my skills, but I
feel like my previous academic record and professional experience are my candidacy’s
strong predictors for a position in MBA program. Being a non-traditional student
and working outside the academic life for various years, attempting ERG would
be helpful to put me in a position where the evaluation of my scores would be besides
fresh students. This evaluation, I believe, is not a perfect gauge of my skills
and competencies to exceed expectation by performing best in the role of
research.
For almost
three and half years, I have been working first as a technical support agent
tier 1 and technical support engineer at Pole to Win International, Hunt
Valley, MD and Tenable, Columbia, MD respectively. I have been originally
planning to attend some software school but after gaining exceptional technical
knowledge and giving people technology consultation for free of cost, I felt
like it has become my passion and this is where I belong. I decided to turn my passion
into my profession and career by starting my own technology consulting firm. Having
an MBA degree along with leadership, consulting, and business management skills
is like icing on the cake that is not possible without GRE.
I have
voluntarily supported information technology students with coding and
programming and I have been professionally affiliated with Towson University as
a member of the national society of leadership and success where I learned diverse
business and leadership strategies.
The ERG, I
believe, is a perfect gauge of my mastery of advanced analytical, critical reading,
mathematics, and writing concepts. Although this kind of tests is conducted to predict
potential capabilities of the candidate in research programs and advanced
academic studies, I believe my educational excellence and professional record demonstrate
the potential for success and similar dedication in the online MBA program at Robert
H. Smith School of Business.
I am thankful
for your valuable time and consideration.
Sincerely
