You can also go to the librarian and ask him about where you can get the information about your topic, he will guide you to the section where such work has been kept. But reading an entire book is not an easy task and the whole book does not consist of what you want. The simple solution for this is to use the index page and land on those topics which you need for writing an essay. Do not forget to make notes for each thing you consider as important to be mentioned in the essay. After completing the research read the notes again and narrow it down to the information you need the most to be added in your essay.
