  A book review provides an opinion and view about the book that has been written. It provides an insight about the importance and interesting features of the book. Book review is a short opinion about the book, which enables one to provide details on the book in a way as if one is questioning about it and we are telling other person regarding it. The process of book review comprises the following steps;

·        Begin with sentences explaining what the book actually is about:

This part explains about the main story of the book, its plot, its major characters and other important themes of the book. This part of the story reveals as to which characters are most important. A few sentences as an introductory part of the book tends to use descriptive language for explaining the main essence of the book.

·        Discussion about what is most likable about the book:

The transition of the story is well explained. The characters are well highlighted and the aspects like the importance of the most important and favorite characters are explained in detail. The reasons portrayed as to why some of the characters are important, and are the characters real or fake. What are the reasons for proving out the character being real or fake.

This part of the book review goes on explaining about the assumptions made in order to progress the narrative of the book’s report. Has there been any guess work related to it or has the story been built upon assumptions or inference of facts and figures to progress ahead.

The most favorite part of the book is also described in this part of the book’s review. It also explains the reasons as to why this part of the book is likable and interesting. The book’s review also progresses by explaining different scenes such as sad, happy, gloomy, depressing and other emotional scenes. All these scenes are a part of the book’s story or the novel, and details about either of these scenes are well explained. Most favorite scene of the book is explained well with a specific reference to the events of that scene.

A person’s emotional response by reading different events of the book in writing its review is also well illustrated in the book review.

·        Points that are disliked about the book:

The areas that one did not actually like about the book are covered in this section of the book review. These could be role and character of a person for example any character might have played the role of the villain. Its role might have been disliked by the reader of the book, and it could be explicitly covered in the book’s review. Any controversial role played by any character of the book could also be disliked by any one and it could be included in the review of the book.

Theme of the book might have deviated from what the reader expected and it could have been a part of the reader’s  disliking attitude towards the book. It could be included in the book’s review as well. Any scary or humorous content could also be included in the book’s review as part of the areas not liked or in other words disliked by the reader.

·        Rounding up the review

This part of the book’s review focuses on the suggestions and recommendations to be made to a new reader of the book. These suggestions must focus on the salient aspects, which are most likable by the reader. This part must also focus on the age group, which should possibly read the book. This age group could either be teenage, adults, old age or others. The probable suggestions for the age group recommended in order to read the book are included. In addition, it is also likely that the young reader may be more captivated towards the book’s review. Or lovers of comedy, suspense or horror might be attracted towards reading the book.

·        Rating of the book

The book could be rated on a likert scale of 1 to 10. 1 to 5 includes below average categories and level 5 to 10 refers to the above average categories. The book could be rated on either of these numbers, and depending on these, the fame and publicity of the book could be enhanced.

The above-mentioned explains the main features of the book review. It is to assert precisely that the book’s review must include features as diverse as concise summary of the content. The critical assessment of the content is also to be included in the book’s review. Moreover, analysis of the work, plot and overall theme related description or story must be included.
