Even if the spoken presentation is well rehearsed and well prepared, but poor visuals can ruin your whole presentation. So, it's an easy task to make a presentation but make it interesting and effective is somehow tough for those who do not know how to use PowerPoint properly. So, you can make your presentation a good one by keeping these all points in your mind while creating a PowerPoint presentation.

 

PowerPoint Presentation:

It’s a program through which presenters give a shorter and a quick view of their projects on the slideshow. Today it has become vital software not for just students but also the companies. Students use this software for their academic purposes. It is also being used for official concerns for example if a company is launching or innovate something. What they do is, they make main chunks of their project on the slides and then elaborate those ideas on their own.

Tips to Make It Interesting:

Many of you have a bad experience while giving a presentation. Maybe your teacher is complaining or maybe the audience is not attentive towards your presentation. You know the fact that a unique thing catches more attention. So make your presentation good and deliver it effectively and differently. Make your presentation interesting by considering these tips.

Don’t Make Heavy Texted Slides:

The most common mistake, most people do is, they add too much data to their slides. This is the most common blunder, people do. You are making a PowerPoint presentation, not a word document. So keep your data-limited and too relevant. Left of the details you can give in your spoken presentation. Just write a chunk point of the idea and then explain that idea in your words. Too much data in the slide looks like a paragraph. Do not write in a paragraph form over PowerPoint slides.

Bulleted Slides:

Your points must be written in bullet form and each bullet should contain a single idea, the next idea should be given in the next bullet, and so on. This will help your audience to understand your Presentation pattern. But do not add too many bullet points in a slide. There should be 4 to 5 bullets in a slide not more than this. Likewise, do not write more than 8-10 words per bullet.

Limit Transitions:

Transitions might give your presentation a different style but excess of everything is bad. So, do not use a lot of transitions, your transitions should be limited because this may annoy your audience. “Fade smoothly” or “Swipe right” are the simplest and you can say decent animated transitions. So if you want to use transitions that use these, the other transitions can give your presentation a tedious look.

PowerPoint Template:

Try to use a different template, try to use a template that could relate to your topic. For example, you are giving a presentation on some banking topic then you can find the number of banking templates online, which you can use. Using the same templates over and over again can make your presentation boring. So, avoid using PowerPoint templates because those templates, many of your colleagues will use.

Sound Effects:

Do not use sound effects in animation. This could irritate others. So whenever you make a PowerPoint Presentation, keep it simple and don't use that factors that can give it an overlook. Your presentation should be on silent mode.

Well-used colors:

Only a few people know the game of colors. By using colors, you can make a thing interesting, vibrant, and beautiful and by the colors, you can make it over too. So, whenever you use it, use it smartly that can appeal to your audience. Always use moderate colors neither too bright nor too dull. Keep it in a balanced ratio.

Fonts Style and Size:

Times New Roman is the most used and preferred font style. Don’t use the font style like “Chiller” or “Curlz MT" etc. This can ruin your presentation visuals. And if we talk about Font size then keep your Heading size 36 and your body size 24.

Table of Charts:

If you are talking about facts and figures, then use tables or charts. This will give your presentation an authentic manner. A well-researched presentation has facts and figures in it. You can convey it by making tables or charts.

High Graphics Picture:

Add two or three pictures in the presentation depending upon the length of the presentation. This will also enhance the presentation's visuals. And if you are using it then it must be a high graphic picture. Because it will bring clarity, the blur picture can also ruin the presentation.
