The video about the cause and effect.

I must say that the video about the cause and effect use in the English sentences has increase my knowledge about using the different cause and effect words in the sentence.  One of the best thing I like about the video was that it very effectively make be understand, how I can use different cause and effect phrases to deliver the same idea. The method of teaching used in the video was very good and easy to pick up and implement in the English.  

In this video I got the information about the how I can change the sentences without changing the main idea to deliver just by changing the cause and effect phrases. For example, in the exercise part some of the sentences are as follow;

“No-one picked up the phone, so I had to leave a message.” In this sentence the word “so” is used as an effect word and in the very next sentence below,

“As no-one picked up the phone, so I had to leave a message.” In this sentence the word“as” is used as a cause. What is the best thing about these sentences is that both of them are delivering the same message just the style of narration and the use of cause and effect is different.

It can be seen that how the same sentences can be write in different way just by changing the cause and effect phrases.  It was the one thing, the other is that before watching this video I have been using the “thus” and “hence” as the cause and effect phrases. Now I came to know after watching the video that the “thus” and “hence” are not very good replacement because they are very formal cause words. I instead use the “therefore” and “consequently” that are better cause words. More over this video also help me a lot in the use of “therefore” and “consequently”  words specially how I can grammatically accurate use of the both cause and effect words.

Although the overall video about the cause and effect was very informative and beneficial for me buts still I think that the uses of the example in the video especially in the examples are very basic. Because of the simplicity of the video, the person can understand the concepts but implementation of these cause and effect words in the complex sentence structure can be a bit difficult just by seeing this video. I think that the example in the exercise should be more complex and that the person can understand how the difficulty of the complex sentences can be reduce by using the cause and effect words in the sentences effectively without making any grammatical and logical mistake.
