Global warming is a
process that was witnessed during the 1850s and 1900s.
Global warming is the
process in which the earth’s surface is continuously being heated due to the
things that we humans. The earth’s surface includes the atmosphere,
stratosphere, layers of the earth and all the things that we humans do. Global
warming is not something that we should be proud of because this is destroying
our atmosphere and affecting us badly.
Global warming is a very
vast and diverse topic that is being studied by so many scientists and
geologists.
Humans are involved in
activities which result in global warming. Since last 20 years the rate of
global warming has increased to ten folds because of all the industrial waste
that we burn and dispose off. Industries, factories, warehouses, workshops and
all those places where the use of machinery is witnessed is the reason behind
global warming. Why is it so, is what we'll discuss here.
What is Global warming and
how is it affecting us and the climate
Climate all around the
world has strangely changed because of global warming. The countries which were
once cold are now hot. The hot countries are now cold and this is also because
of the unlimited heating that is being done to the earth’s surface. The
glaciers all around the world are melting, animals are dying and humans are
being affected by the harmful rays that are being emitted from the ozone layer.
Ozone layer is that protective layer that is protecting the earth and all the
living things. Damage to the ozone layer can eliminate the entire human race
eventually if not controlled. If the ozone layer is depleted l, harmful and
cancerous rays will travel all the way to the humans and they will start dying.
A few years back the ozone was in a terrible condition. There were holes
witnessed in the ozone layer which were there because of global warming. If we
don’t control the global warming rate, we might have very little time to spend
here on planet earth.
What damages the ozone
layer and how is it related to global warming
Global warming is the heating
of the earth’s surface. This means that a point with come when the earth’s
surface will be completely damaged. Since it’s the ozone layer that is
protecting and covering the earth’s surface, ozone will be destroyed too
because of global warming .
Chemicals like
chlorofluorocarbons, carbon monoxide , carbon dioxide and other gases travel
all the way to the earth’s surface and start causing it damage. This is what
makes the climate change and utter chaos
in the nature science.
How can we deal with global
warming
It could take years to fix
what has been destroyed. It’s a very long process but if we start working on it
and if start creating awareness among people, there are huge chances that
global warming might change its course. Recently it was revealed that the ozone
layer is healing. If it’s true we have to work harder to make it healthy again
so that our generations could survive easily without any problems.
·
Afforestation
Cutting
down of tress and forests is the major reason behind global warming. These
trees and vegetation tends to absorb all the harmful chemicals and gases that
our industries release. These when absorbed, fail to reach the atmosphere and
cause any damage.
·
Boycott burning of industrial wastes
We
have to find some other solution of getting rid of industrial waste. Burning it
causes the waste to release toxic gases that travel to the earth’s surface and
damage it greatly. Industries should not use harmful chemicals and products
that are damaging towards the environment.
·
Plant more trees
Planting
more trees is the best thing that we can do to save ourselves and the earth’s
environment.
Effects
of Global Warming
As
we have mentioned earlier, global warming has many effects and that too very
dangerous ones.
·
Melting of glaciers
Glaciers
all over the world are melting because of excess heat. This is causing a
massive change and outbreak in the climate.
·
Cancer and allergic reactions
Humans
are experiencing fata diseases because of the gases that are being released
from the earth’s surface. If this continues to happen, the human race might get
wiped out.
·
Animals are dying
Animals
which live in the snow, are dying because the snow is melting. Losing these
animals is unfortunate because they are a part of our food chain and tourism
industry.
Global warming can have
for more side effects than the ones mentioned here. To fight this we have to
take extreme measures so that we can save our world and the human race. It can
take up to years but all the efforts will be worth it.
